My fiancé and I have known each other 10 years, and been in a long distance relationship just over three years, last year I was able to make a trip to the USA for us to meet in person and stayed there for 6 months. During that time, he proposed to me and we filed for a fiancée visa. The filing alone already cost $350. To pay for his and my plane ticket and the extra paperwork that has to go in once we are married there, will be another $5000 at least.
Now I have no hope of even having a nice, small, church wedding in a white dress, there simply aren't going to be funds. But I would at least like him to be able to fly down and meet my family on a round-trip ticket and for me to fly back with him them. The marriage can be performed by a magistrate, as long as we can be together.
It is a very harrowing time on us right now to scrape that money together, I am living in a small town currently with no jobs available at all, he is working full time but the company he is working for is struggling a lot as well, and to top it all, he has to help pay his parents' bills who are currently unemployed. All in all, this makes it very hard for us, but we are trying to gather it all on our own, but we do not know if we are going to make it. Therefor I have created a fund-raiser in the hopes that people that have a little extra to spare might help our dream come true. I firmly believe that God will help to show us a way out of this darkness and help pave the path to our future. Please pray with us!
