I know what I need to do, and yet fail to obey God and keep his commandments. I have been struggling with alcohol and lust for years, and need deliverance. I know it's possible, but I can use all the help I can get, so please keep me in your prayers. I need to beat this, so I can one day lead by example.

Lord, Help your child to be victorious one day at a time. I ask that they will consider getting help from an addictive behaviour clinic of some kind. I know there must be someone out there you could lead this person to Lord. I pray that they will decide with their mind and act with their will to conquer this addictive behaviour. Lord no on can do it alone but all things are possible with you. Lord you are watching when he or she is drinking and following the lusts of the flesh. Help this person to remember that your eyes are on them and that it is like crucifing you all over again. Keep watch Lord and give the strength to stop sinning in this weak area of their life. In Jesus name I pray.

Just surrender yourself into Jesus arms, and have faith.

Alcohol is something that has such a strong grip on so many people and completely changes how they interact with people and conduct themselves, yet isn't as reviled as 'harder' drugs because it is legal and socially acceptable. It is something that only God can combat and I know from personal experience it is very difficult to quit but it CAN be done. You know that its wrong and are taking the proper precautions by praying and asking for help. Pray that God gives you the deliverance you seek and He will hear your prayer. God bless you
