Dear Prayer Team:

My wife and I would like to request prayer for our 15 year old daughter, Elizabeth, who is currently suffering an “acute psychiatric incident” as the doctor called it. It started about two weeks ago after Elizabeth had missed a couple days of school. She is a 9th grader and has been a good student so far in her academic career getting mostly A’s and B’s. After missing a day of school just before their spring break as well as the first day they were supposed to go back, she apparently got stressed and anxious about falling behind in school and as a result she couldn’t sleep. She had some nights where she couldn’t sleep at all. The whole thing kind of snowballed and she kept getting more anxious and more sleepless until she started to display psychotic symptoms. The doctor has put her on Seroquel, an antipsychotic medication. They have not been able so far to determine what brought the onset of this incident since all the normal things like trauma, abuse, molestation, drug use etc. are absent. By the way, we are a Christian family and Elizabeth has accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. During the period just prior to the onset of Elizabeth’s illness she spent some time on a couple days with a friend, Shannon, whose Mom has been involved in the occult from what we have heard. Shannon herself has recently become a Christian. Elizabeth is afraid that she picked up a demon or demonic influence while at the friend’s house. We have told her that no demon can get inside of her since the Holy Spirit lives in her. Now that Elizabeth is in a psychotic state, she is convinced that she has somehow inadvertently given her life to the devil. We are going to do what the doctor tells us since he says that all of this can be explained by a chemical imbalance in the brain, but we know that sometimes there is a spiritual component to these kind of problems and want to call out to God for a supernatural intervention to bring Elizabeth back to her right mind. Please help us pray for her complete recovery.

My Loving Heavenly Father. Please help this family. You already know what is happening with Elizabeth. I ask that your will be done. If this is a chemical imbalance then please direct the doctors as to how they should treat her. But Lord if this is from Satan, then I ask that you bind him in Jesus name. God, I am sure that David and his wife are so scared for their little girl. Please give them peace and heal their daughter. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

In the Name of the Lord,right now I command to all the power of darkness and the curses to leave Elizabeth! Now!
I pray that Your will to be done in their life.
You are the King of kings and Your Name is Wonderful.
