A Marriage In Crisis
I have been married for almost 5 years. My Husband (Joe) & myself (Shannon) have been together since highschool. We both have Christian backgrounds, his father is a Pastor and Joe has been brought up on God's word. He KNOWS the truth. Being married we never really gave up totally to God, but we have never had any problems in our marriage. We did believe, and knew right from wrong, & we lived a decent life, but still not completly given to God. My husband became a Police Officer about a year and a half ago. At first I was very against this, I did not feel this was the right career for my husband. Joe has always been so loving, patient, kind, sweet, he has been a wonderful man & a wonderful husband. He was very presistant in becoming a Police Officer, so I let go & figured if its Gods will it will happen, if not then it wont. Well needless to say he became a Cop, and I didnt notice any changes until about 9 months into the job. They were very minor at first, and all I would have to do is remind him, and he would literally snap out of it. Well about a month & a half ago it seems like he went to sleep & woke up a different person. He literally just sat down & said "I dont know if I want to be with you anymore." This came out of no where. He refuses to talk to anyone, although he will hear out anyone that wants to speak to him, he just has no response. He refuses to go to counceling. I have really turned over a new leaf & given up to God completly since this has all happened. I am trying to have faith & believe that this will work out, but I just dont know what to do anymore. Joe has started drinking every single night, and he has become so cruel to me. I am so heartbroken, its hard for me to see how I will ever get past this. I have lost 12 lbs in 2 weeks (weighing in at 105) I cant sleep, I cant eat, I cant concentrate, I cry 24-7, I feel like Im going to lose my job because I cant even keep it together there. Joe has went out & gotten all these tattoo's from his shoulders to his elbows, on both arms, all the way around. He keeps pushing me away, & speaks to me so badly. I really need some help right now. Someone to pray for me, & just talk with me. I feel like I am losing my mind. I love him so much, and I want to get through this, I just dont know what to do. I am so hurt, I am crying as I am writing this right now. Please, Please, anyone who is reading, please pray for me, pray for him, for us & our marriage. Please if anyone has any words of encouragement, I would love to hear them. SweetShannon2413[at]yahoo.com
Thank you so much!
God Bless

RE: A Marriage In Crisis
God I pray for this couple. You said what God has joined together let no man put asunder. It seems like Satan is just working overtime on marriages. But God you are bigger than any problems we may have. You can make what seems impossible, possible. Satan has attacked my marriage also. My husband after 16 yrs of sobriety started drinking again and started a relationship with his exgirlfriend. I believe God can restore my marriage and he can restore your marriage. Nothing is too hard for God. We just have to give it to him and let God work it out. Its all in God's time, not ours and that can be a very trying time. I am learning to trust God. I have to put on the whole armor of God so I can fight the good fight. Stay in the word and put your focus on God. I know it can be hard at times but persevere. Keep trying even if you fall get back up and keep praying to God for him to
mold you into the woman of God he wants you to be. You are important to God. I know the pain you feel because I experience it. Deep down inside, for me, I am not giving up on my marriage. I love my husband unconditionally. I just pray for him everyday to turn his life back to God. I tell him I love him. Even when he is drinking I let him know how special he is to God. I know the pain and the tears where my eyelids have been so swollen but just remember the love we have for our husbands doesn't even come close to the love God has for us. I bet he has cried more tears for us. Stay strong in your faith. I don't want the devil to have victory over anybody and that even includes the other woman in my husbands life. I pray for her salvation also. Ephesians 6;12 'For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.' The devil is defeated through Jesus Christ our Lord. You are special, keep praying. Please say a prayer for me as I pray for you. God Bless.

RE: A Marriage In Crisis
Hey Shannon, I believe God blessed your marriage and it is not His will to see it fall apart..It can turn around today if God agrees with us. Never give up hope. God I claim your promise over Shannon's marriage.I believe that you will reconciliate this relationship. I believe that it will happen as it is your desire to bless us. I commit Joe into your hand that all things work out for good in Jesus Name. I pray that you gave Shannon wisdom and emotional strength to keep the relationship alive while you continue to work in Joe's heart and mind. I pray that you bring Joe back to you so Shannon and Joe continue their relationship with you.I commit all this in your mightly and powerful name. Amen!
