RE: Losing my Daughter
I had the same situation with my youngest daughter, who got divorced and then met someone on the net. Moved eight hours away from us, and is living with that man. Took my grandsons with her so I don't get to see them. Eventually they made their own life's and don't even contact me nor answer the letters I send them for their birthdays and Christmas, even though I never get one. We even went up there to visit them once, and she has her body all full of tattoos now and her sons too, plus earrings all over her ears and nose. I guess they wanted to live a life they are a shame for us to see, so they moved away. We felt not welcome when we went to visit them, were not offered even a glass of water. We had to stay at bread and breakfast the closets place to them, a great expense for us. They made it hard for us to see them with the excused that they had to work even on the weekends. So we went when we knew they would be home. All I can do is pray for them now, and continue to send them the cards. The oldest one got married, and we didn't even got an invitation to the wedding nor have met his wife. I emailed my daughter and I asked her why we weren't invited?
We were told we wouldn't had been able to afford that trip, or give them enough for the wedding gift. We still sent them $100.00 which, was an effort for us, who are living only from our social security. We found out of the wedding, because my daughter emailed me during that time of the preparations, I knew it was because she wanted us to send them a monetary gift. When they were little and we worked, they lived closer to us. We used to buy them clothing, toys, and take them our for their birthday to nice restaurants for dinner, since their father is an alcoholic, we wanted them to see is a better life than what they had. Now I have left them in God's hand and pray for them every day. Like someone told you above, we still have our own life to live, don't let them ruin it for you. They are already adults, and it's up to them to chose how they want to live theirs. Someday they will have to face our heavenly Father, and have to answer for themselves how they have lived it while here on earth, not you for them. They will keep on living on their merry ways for now, and you will be the one not happy if you blame yourself, or worry about it. Just love them unconditionally as Jesus love us, and don't hold any grudges. Send them cards like I do, and hope that God will someday touch their heart's.
Lord give this person the peace that only comes from you, and the strength to see them through how their children are behaving toward them now. May they continue to love them unconditionally as you love us. In your precious name I pray amen.
