RE: I'm in love with a non Christian.

I have personal experience with Muslims so I am not speaking from ignorance. I also believe God's Holy Word as I believe you also do. Please, please, in the Name of Yeshua, back away from this relationship! I will pray for this poor girl with all my heart that Yeshua is revealed to her but you must face the possibility that this may never happen. It must be a supernatural revelation that comes from God Himself, not anything man says or does. Never marry her until you are 100% sure that this has happened to her or your life will literally be destroyed. I cannot stress this to you enough. Muslims do not worship the same God that Jews and Christians do. Regardless of what the politically correct media would have you believe or even what some Muslims would tell you to make you feel better, a true Muslim follows Allah which is a much different god than the God of Israel that Jews and Christians follow. Do not be deceived! You sound like a wonderful young man and I am sorry that you feel so strongly for this girl because until she is truly saved, she is totally dead in darkness. Walk away for the Lord most of all, but also to save your own life. If God really means this to be, she will be saved. Otherwise, it is a no go. Love and prayers from a Mom who has seen a lot in life.
Hello! Thank you for your reply, it means a lot that people are thinking and praying for this situation. Just to clarify, although Majdeline is from Morocco, she isn't a Muslim. Of course, her and her family publicly follow some of the Muslim laws while living in Morocco, but they don't actually have any Muslim beliefs. She has lived in France for the past few years, and is now living in England - it seems she has no intention of returning to Morocco, at least not any time soon.
She believes in 'something more,' but not in the Christian God (or any god for that matter.) Although she has been to Catholic churches in France, Christianity in the true sense of the word is new to her. She has many logical and perfectly valid questions, which keep her away from becoming a Christian. We have had many long discussions, but she seems no closer. It breaks my heart - iI don't believe we have met by accident, and for my own sanity I have to believe that God will speak to her and she will put her faith in him. It may not be any time soon, and it may not affect me - but I HAVE to believe that she will become a Christian. I hate the idea that she could go to hell just for her open-mindedness, and I refuse to accept that. I will always pray for her, and i have told her that. Despite how I feel about her, I'm still not going out with her, and I feel that God has helped me be a good witness to her. At least publicly anyway - inside I'm torn.
Thank you for your prayers, and please keep praying for me, and most importantly for her. Thank you, Godbless.

I've always trusted in God's plan for my life, and I've prayed for a Christian girl who I could have a relationship with. This year, I met a girl who I instantly liked - she's beautiful, and a really lovely person. She's called Majdeline, and she's from Morocco, although French is her first language. We both really like each-other. We share a lot in common, and get on really well... but she isn't a Christian. Right from the beginning of our friendship, I explained to her about my faith and why I couldn't go out with her. From that, we have had many long conversations, I've given her a bible, brought her to church, and we've talked about every aspect of Christianity you could think of. I've really been praying that God would speak to her, and she would put her faith in him.
But to no avail. She doesn't seem any closer to becoming a Christian - if anything, she's further away. She's bitter against God, and sees him as a barrier to love. The only thing that has come out of this is that I've fallen in love with her. I can't walk away from our close friendship - I'm the only Christian she knows.
My prayer requests are these: Firstly (and most importantly,) that through this, she begins to seek after God and that she will become a Christian (in God's own timing, even if it doesn't directly affect me.)
And secondly, that my own faith doesn't falter though this, and that God makes his plan known to me.
Please, please pray for her. Pray for God to shake her and challenge her, and that she makes the decision that could change her life forever.
Allan,
I can relate to you whole-heartedly. I was saved as a young child and grew up, even promising to wait until marriage. I got into college and met a young man who was mormon, someone God put immediately on my heart. I invited him to church, tried to witness, and loved him for two and a half years before we began dating. Just before we got together, I brought him to church, he got the gospel message, but he did not respond the right way. He changed after that, and I gave up. We dated and it was catastrophic. After a year and a half of hurt, I cut off all contact. For eight months we did not talk and I had to make major changes. I made decisions that compromised my purity, although I could say technically I'm a virgin, I am not clean like I used to be.
I'm not trying to scare you away from witnessing to her. Do so. But, if you have to give some distance, you need to. It's so hard, I know from being where you are. He was my very best friend and it broke my heart. Then, I got to a place where I was so hurt, I was no longer being an example, I was cursing, acting wordly--I'd do anything to take those things back.
Recently, I got back in touch with him, sending him a card saying, "I'm praying for you." No begging him back, nothing but a couple verses and I'm praying for you. He responded, but he has not changed, he wasn't very remorseful, and he is still lost. I pray for him every day though, because the Lord put him on my heart. My greatest desire would be that he would be saved and become a faithful servant of the Lord.
My greatest advice, if you can keep your christian integrity, then continue to witness to her, pray the Lord would give you an open door with her, and ask for others to come into her life. She may be close, because she is showing anger. Don't faint! However, if it will compromise your faith, then back off from the friendship--you don't want to be on the other side of a broken relationship. My problem was that I wanted to have him more than anything--more than his salvation (which I'm not accusing you of, just explaining) and as a result, I lost everything. My heart still aches and I wish I had more I could say to him. The only thing that I've been doing now has been sending him my email devotions. I pray that he sees them.
I'm not saying she's not the one--we don't know that. I know of a tremendous pastor who did lead his wife to the Lord shortly before they became engaged and married. But, he waited on the Lord and led her--I didn't do that. So, in short, don't enter into a relationship--which seems like you have down, although it's hard when you're in love with someone. My ex went from one girl to the next, because that's what he tries to fill his soul with rather than God. But, I would pray for your protection, and just be diligent. The Lord will reward that and will work in her life. Just be very careful.
Hope this helps. I will pray for your friend to be saved. Would you pray for Jared? I want him to be saved so much and to be a faithful servant of the Lord. Just be careful and may the Lord bless you.
Hello! Thanks for your reply, it was really helpful. I really appreciate that you've prayed for me. Please keep doing that! You're right - I do need to be careful, and I keep reminding myself that. Although I'm not going out with her, I still spend a lot of time with her. However, through doing this God has given me loads of opportunities to witness to her, that I otherwise mightn't have had. I guess I just need to strike a balance, and try to guard my own heart. I really feel that God has helped be to stay a strong witness to her, although it isn't easy. (understatement of the year!!) It's really eating me up inside - I hate the idea that she won't become a Christian, and the consequences of that. In order to keep my sanity and my faith, I have to believe that God will save her. Why would God let us meet this way for no reason? There has to be a purpose - even if it's years from now, there just has to be. I know she might not be the one for me in the end - I can accept that - but I can't accept that this has been for nothing. I have to trust in God's plan.
I'm sure you know exactly what I mean - it seems your situation with Jared is in many ways similar, and you obviously feel the same way about his salvation. I will definitely pray for him, that he looks back at his relationship with you and that he reads your emails, and that he comes to know God, in his own timing.
Thank you. Godbless
