feeling so defeated

Father God, I am feeling so defeated. I need your guidance. I need to feel your presence in my life especially right now. I feel so alone and don’t see an end. My family is in jeopardy and I don’t know what to do. Fred told me he doesn’t want me anymore and he doesn’t want to be that guy. My heart feels like it has been ripped out of my body. We have been really put to the test the last few months with Cameron and his problems. I don’t know this will affect Kay or Cam. Kay doesn’t have hardly anything to with her real dad and now she won’t have Fred. I am a better mom to Cam than his mother and he will tell you that. I don’t want us to fail or fail our children anymore. They deserve us to be happy and whole and so do we a couple. I pray you find a way to reach Fred and fix his problems mentally and physically. In Jesus name…Amen

RE: feeling so defeated

Drop everything and follow our Lord Jesus and see what will happen. Don't be so concerned about "self" gratification, it means nothing if you are to die tomorrow. Are you sure you will end up in Heaven? Are you truly saved?

RE: feeling so defeated

Father God,
It's never easy to be in a situation like this. It's so hard to cope with all these emotions and it's even harder to think You're there when we're in such a defeated state like jdfrazier is in right now. But I thank you foremost, for her seeking out for You. Even before anything else, she comes before You and seeks for Your help so won't You listen to her prayers, Oh God. Have mercy on this family and truly rain down. Bring salvation, peace and joy in this family. Mend this family to be whole again and let Your will be done. Even though her children may not live with their real fathers, help them to know they have a Father in Heaven who love and cherish them always. I pray You would make a way for her during this time. Thank You. All this I pray in Your precious son, Jesus' name, Amen.

RE: feeling so defeated

I've been in your situation. I know the pain of heartache. It is a terrible place to be when your spouse doesn't want you. It is God's will that your marriage stay intact, however, you can't make someone behave the way you want him/her to. There comes a point when you have to let go and let God. It is up to your spouse to decide to follow God's way. If your spouse wants out of the marriage, you have to let him go. I know that is so hard to do. You can continue to pray and ask God to intervene.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for hearing our prayers. Thank you that you are an awesome God and a miracle maker. Thank you for bringing people into our lives that lift us up. Lord, you are Lord of all! You are our counselor, our healer, our Almighty God! You are our source of strength, perfect love that casts out all fear. You are the truth, life, and you are our everything.

YOU ARE FEELING SO DEFEATED BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Every day can be an exciting adventure for the Christian who knows the reality of being filled with the Holy Spirit and who lives constantly, moment by moment, under His gracious direction. The Bible tells us that there are three kinds of people.

1. Natural Man (one who has not received Christ)

"A natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised" (1 Corinthians 2:14).

2. Spiritual Man (One who is directed and empowered by the Holy Spirit)

"He who is spiritual appraises all things...We have the mind of Christ" (1 Corinthians 2:15)

Some spiritual traits which result from trusting God:
_Christ centered
_Trusts God
_Obeys God
_Empowered by the Holy Spirit
_Introduces others to Christ
_Effective prayer life
_Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, goodness
_Understands God's Word

3. Carnal Man (One who has received Christ, but who lives in defeat because he is trying to live the Christian life in his own strength)

And I brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to carnal men, as to babes in Christ. I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able, for you are still carnal. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshy, and are you not walking like mere men?" (1 Corinthians 3:1-3).

The carnal man trusts in his own efforts to live the Christian life. Some or all of the following traits may characterize the Christian who does not fully trust God:

_Ignorance of spiritual heritage
_Discouragement
_Disobedience
_Unbelief
_Guilt, worry, jealousy
_Critical spirit
_No desire for Bible study
_Loss of love for God and others
_Legalistic attitude
_Impure thoughts
_Poor prayer life
_Frustration
_Aimlesness

(The individual who professes to be a Christian but who continues to practice sin should realize that he may not be a Christian at all, according to 1 John 2:3; 3:6, 9; Ephesians 5:5).

Dear Lord, please have mercy on this family.
I pray that Your will to be done in their lives.
You are the King of kings and Your Name is Wonderful.
Thank You my Lord

Warrior Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. For them the second death holds no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him a thousand years.
