Lord God I don't understand half of these prayer requests, but you know the person who makes them, and you know why he makes them. So now I pray that you will heed his prayer, you will hear his voice and will answer these prayers if they honour your will for his life. Please, Lord, help this man, as he says, to know you and love you more and desire to do your will. Please make yourself very real to him so that he can feel you and experience you. Please help him to realise that happiness comes not from success, not from a well-known name, a good reputation or a wide range of skills. Lord, true happiness only comes from you. Happiness is found deep within us, where your spirit dwells. So Lord, if it is your will, that Erick becomes "the best financial consultant in the world" and a certified public accountant "within the year to come" and "the best worker in our department and national"... then you will bring that about when it is the right time. Lord, that you will bless Erick and Miriam. Lord please bring them both to a place of full realisation of who you truly are, an awakening to your glory, Lord, please just shine through them and let them be wonderful, beautiful, humble examples for your amazing grace. Lord, it is not by what we do or accomplish here, but by your glory that we find a true sense of peace and accomplishment. Please bless Erick and Miriam, bring them closer to you every day.
