Dear friends,

My mother has recently become severely depressed, and is no longer taking care of herself. She has a serious heart condition, and is on several medications + insulin, which she isn't taking as prescribed.

Her legs are weak these last two weeks. She has difficulty walking, and fell 3 times in 24 hours... Yet she refuses to go to the hospital.

Tonight I learned that she has been eating just one meal/day.

She is a shut-in. I live out of town, but call regularly. I am very much afraid for her. Her salvation is also a concern of mine (I'm not sure she is saved.)

Lord, I pray for this person's mother. God, rain down on her with your consoling Holy Spirit. Give her the hope and encouragement she needs to seek medical help. Help her to see, oh Christ, how much her family loves her and cares for her. Regenerate this woman's heart. Remind her of how precious she is to You. Jesus, make Youself known to her, please. We are but a vapor's breath... be gracious, Lord, and show her Your great, intimate love. May Your will be done, Lord. Amen.
