Although this might be a silly request to some, please pray with me that the Lord touches my husband's heart and give him an urgent desire to put his wedding ring on again. He took it off about 3 months ago and ever since that day it is still on his bedside table, he has not touched it or even made an effort to put it on again. I don't believe it is too small, he knows how much it means to me, that he has it on when we are in public, and he has not yet enquired about making it bigger or buying another one. It is just breaking my heart that he is ashamed of showing the world (by wearing his ring) that he made a promise to someone special (me) with God as witness - why does he want to pretend he is not committed?

I do not think this is a silly request at all, my husband does not wear his ring either. My husband had to take his off, as he works on boats, and one day he went to get out of a boat, and he got stuck by his ring, it was lucky he was able to reach something to cut it off, or he could have lost his finger. So in this case, he had to sacrifice his ring for his finger. I am not sure what the case is with your husband, but the ring is just a symbol, The vows that you both made, are what really holds the marriage together. But I will keep you both in my prayers.

Dear Jesus,
I agree with the wise advice your child made above . I also suggest your daughter open up her heart , and allow you to be her voice and be honest with her husband and tell him how this hurts her Lord. Let there be nothing that stands between them that causes hurtful feelings or mistrust, that satan may have a foothold.
Just bless and watch over this marriage and bring your banner and love of protection over it.

Thank you for this - I was also hoping that I can use his work as an excuse why he is not wearing his ring, but he had a infatuation with someone at work since mid last year and I think his workmates are under the impression we are seperated because of him and the ow - he just doesn't mention my name at his workplace anymore or take me with to work functions, and by him not wearing his ring they can not put him under pressure and secondly it probably makes him feel less quilty about his actions. I have been given these up in prayers every day and some days I'm fasting as well and I'm sure the Lord will hear and answer my prayers some day.......... Thank you for all the prayers
