I want prayers to be reconciled to my wife - benaya - 03-24-2014 09:37 AM My wife has threatened filing for divorce and it is over 4 - 12 months now that we've not seen each other but insists on divorce. I love her so much, i want her back. We did traditional, church & court marriages in 2010. Please pray so that my wife has a change of heart (reconciliation of our marriage) RE: I want prayers to be reconciled to my wife - Guest - 03-25-2014 11:54 AM True love is a gift of doing good to those who sin against you. When you give that gift, you get a taste of the character of God. Love is forgiveness with action, the kind that moves toward the one who has rejected you, where you are willing to serve and love your spouse for the sake of Christ. True love is active. You start praying daily for God to send the Holy Spirit to speak to your beloved husband or wife so that they will want reconciliation to God by confessing and repenting of their sins, and then restoration to your marriage and to your family which will occur suddenly in God’s timetable. You can cry all day long and pray, but that's not going to move God to work on your situation. He does hear your cry and undertand your needs, but that's not faith and faith is what it takes for God to move that mountain out of your life. The need we have in our time of grief is to get the person we love back into our lives. We love him and miss him (or her) and it hurts, Oh God does it hurt. But God wants us to love and miss Him more than we miss our mate. He wants us to lean on Him, give Him our grief and let Him take care of it for us. He wants your love, your plea's and to get out of His way. You see, God wants a relationship with you, an intimate relationship. He wants to be number 1# in your life. "Love God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your might." God first, your spouse second. When were weeping and crying praying to get our mate back, we're putting our needs before God. You'll know who you love most by who you think about most. When you're praying for God to restore your marriage in your dire need, are you thinking about God, or yourself? Once you establish a strong relationship with God, pray then be patient. QUIT WORRYING. Life has dealt you a blow, but you cannot sit around and worry all the time. God will take all your burdens and carry them for you. You need healing, so ask the Holy Spirit to rid of your anger, your fear, your anxieties. Ask God to remove everything that is keeping you from restoring your marriage. Give God all your burdens and let Him take care of them for you. Once you've given Him your burdens, quit trying to take them back. Trust in Him. Have faith that He will take care of all your needs, your problems, your trials, your emotional roller coaster ride. He wants to help you...All you have to do is ask. Ask, then, RE: I want prayers to be reconciled to my wife - eugene - 03-30-2014 12:34 AM Father, there is peace in your presense and we do not have to aftraid for your are wijht us. Help us to overcome our hurt feelings & attitude of resentment against each other. Create in us a clean & a pure heart, renew a right spirit within us. Help us to reflect Jesus-Christ far more in everything we say & do. Fill us with your stirip of live and forgiveness. Fill us with your love that Your love does not insist on its own rights, or its own way for it is not self- seeking, love that is not touchy or fretful or resentful. God of love & peace empower us with a love that takes no account of evil done to us, that it pays no attention to a suffered wrong RE: I want prayers to be reconciled to my wife - Guest - 03-30-2014 05:10 PM My prayers are with you as I am going through a similar situation--after 25 years of marriage, my wife thinks she loves someone else. I have turned mine over to God with the help of others praying as well. I will pray as hard for you as I will for myself--together--and with prayers of so many others in here, we both will have our marriages back to where God wants them to be. Be strong--NEVER give up hope, and pray without ceasing. It works. |
