please pray god will fill kevins heart with love for me and let his love grow stronger everyday that he will be faithful and true to me and not hurt me may his thoughts be of me only as it was in the beginning .move all obstacles out of our way so we can be as one.

I know that this may a difficult thing to consider, but have you thought of what Kevin's heart may need? I know that you want him to be faithful and to love you, as you should, but does he know the Lord? Does he love God? Does he keep his commandments? Perhaps you should try praying for Kevin, not just for reconciliation of your relationship, but for the needs he has that the Lord lays on your heart. Because, realistically, Kevin is the one who has to decide to love you and care for you, not the Lord. The Lord gives us free-will, which is a bit of a not so fun subject. Does that mean he won't love you? No, absolutely not. But, his relationship needs to be right with God before it will ever be right with you. So, practically speaking, maybe you should pray for his salvation, or pray for him to restore his relationship to the Lord. When he's right with God and in His will, then, the Lord may direct him back to you, if he's the one that the Lord has intended for you. If not, at least he won't spend an eternity in hell, and you can be thankful to the Lord for saving your friend.

"Guest"...your response to CJ is spot on. Pray for Kevin and his slavation first. CJ, let me tell you about my experieince. My wife filed for divorce 5 years ago, in June of 2008. We were headed for court. There was a temporary hearing scheduled for June 2008. My wife had it postponed until July 2008. When that date arrived, she had it put off until September 1, 2008. About a week before September 1st, she asked if we could put it off until January 2009. Well, ultimatley, she filed papers to dismiss. She was a changed person. The Lord was obviously working in her heart. Once I let everything go and put it in the Lords hands, things started to change. I no longer tried to repair the relationship myself. I said, "Lord, there is nothing I can do to fix this. I give it all to You." But, what I did start doing was I quit praying for the restoration of my marriage and started praying for my wife. There was no need to pray for the restoration of my marriage. The Lord knew what was in my heart. He knew I wanted my marriage restored. I simply started praying for my wife and her slavation. Once I did that, I started to see the changes in her. It was obvious the Lord was working in her heart. I started and ended every day with a prayer for her. Once I got out of the Lord's way, he took over. I simply asked him to handle all of it and I would accept whatever His will might be. I want the Lord to know that regardless of what the marriage outcome might be, I wanted to be able to see my wife in Heaven when we leave this earth. Pray for Kevin and his salvation. The Lord already knows you want the relationship repaired.
