I am 62 years old, have smoked since I was 16 years old. It has affected my heart. I haven't had a cigarette today, am so grouchy and depressed. Please pray that our Lord will give me the strength to be able to quit for good this time? I've tried several times before, only to fail. God Bless all who pray.

You can do it! I believe in you! I have prayed for you! Together with The Lord, you can do anything! When you crave a cigarette, raise up to The Lord. He is powerful and almighty. God Bless and good luck

Lord help this person quit smoking, remind them every time they lid a cigarette that their body is your temple and they are destroying and vandalizing it by smoking. Give them the strength and strong will power that only comes from you. In Jesus name I pray amen.

May God deliver you! I am also attempting to quit.
I am 51 and have been smoking since I was 15. I've quit several times, only to return to it (or like a dog, my own vomit). Shamefully, I started again after quitting for a full year. Smoking is completely mentally enslaving and many times I've grown tired of the slavery and have limited only a couple smokes a day, but soon enough, I find myself climbing right up to 10 a day.
Yesterday, the thought came that I need to love myself and clincher was to "also love others more than myself". Well, I admit that I really don't have a lot of self love but what about my loved ones?! I need to sacrifice and show that I love them more than myself and this terrible addicting habit. Not to mention that all myriad of other reasons!
I admit I am taking Chantix for 2 days now, as it has worked in the past. I have MS and so the less stress I have with the Chantix is better for me with the MS. I am hopeful that this will be my very last attempt at quitting smoking ever.
I'm a little dizzy right now but certainly eager to have the Chantix take full effect. I appreciate your prayers.
