Drugs have been trying to tear my family apart the moment my parents were married my mother married my stepfather while he was in prison in order to stay in the country and for her not to be deported he has been struggling with a cocaine addiction since he was 11 he is now 49. We are a family of 8 im in college right now and i get phone calls constantly of all the terrible things that are going on at home my step dad stealing my sisters winter boots and selling them for drug money how he takes my mothers car to go on drug runs and leaves her with empty tanks and not allowing her to go to work. Every attempt my mom makes to build and keep the family gets destroyed by his addiction. when he was clean he was involves in the church and was a preacher now he is stealing everything to fuel his addiction God has saved his life numerous of times I just pray God can turn around what is going on. My tuition for college is going to increase by 7 percent and I Dont have a cosigner for another loan since my mothers credit is bad this is just a little bit of the many obstacles i face, PLEASE ASK THE LORD THAT CHANGE WILL COME FOR MY FAMILY AND THAT MY STEP FATHER WILL NOT DIE BY DRUGS. Im scared and stressed and I dont know what is coming in the future but I have faith in the lord.

Father, please in your mercy stop this man in his tracks and clean him up. Deliver him from this addiction by convicting his heart of the sin he is committing against you Father. Clear his mind that he may understand the pain that he causes his family. In your love for them keep this student in school that she/he may secure their future...and deliver this family from all obstacles to your love and your peace. In Jesus name...Amen!

Dear Young Person, How my heart goes out to you for having to deal with these kinds of problems at your age! Your mother is not thinking straight or she would have left this terrible man years ago and devoted herself to her children! I urge you not to let this destroy your life and your dreams for the future! Continue to have faith in the Lord and to forgive your mom. She apparently is not a strong person. Apply for loans and financial aide and if need be, work and go to school a little at a time. You can do it! You can get yourself out of this mess and live a better life with God's help. The Lord sees this situation and will help you. I worked at a hamburger joint to finish school when I had no help and I did it the hard way, a little at a time but now I have two degrees. I didn't have a family to help me either but God saw my situation and He helped me. Stay in His Word. Find a good church and get prayer and encouragement from those who believe like you do. You can do it. God bless you.
