Self Esteem Issues, Relationships, and Hopes for a Spouse - mee1978 - 01-29-2012 03:12 PM
I have suffered from low self esteem since childhood and it has not fully resolved in adulthood. It has greatly impacted my relationships. I would like to get married, but I am constantly feeling insecure about myself and comments made that have hurt me which should not have an affect on me do to the point where it is hard for me to let go and the scars are too deep to bear. I pray that god give me grace for a forgiving heart for these comments and actions that I found hurtful. I humbly ask God for confidence and healthy sense of esteem so that I can maintain good relationships.
I would lke to get married soon, so I pray in Gods will to find a mate that can work with my insecurities and flaws and my reactions to these flaws.I pray that God to provide the emotional healing that I need to move on to a suitable relationship with a future partner and that I grow in His grace and see the fulness of His love as I struggle to walk with Christ.
