Seeking Prayer For A Broken Family - Holder of The Heel - 05-10-2011 11:45 PM
Hello everyone and God bless you all.
I find myself broken and helpless, not because of my own instruments, but rather because of the condition of my mother. I am a 19 year old college student and I am essentially all my mother has left. I have a brother and a sister whom of which my family (mom, dad, me, and even extended family) have not heard from in over 12 years.
I do on occasion visit my brother with my mother at his restaurant, however such is hardly what we would call a relationship anymore.
My sister i've not seen or heard of in over 12 years nor have I seen my niece (her daughter who is 12)
I come now to this message board, broken, desperate, and fighting back tears because for 12 years I have swallowed my tongue and buried away all hurt... however after having visited my brother today once again with my mother, I all too quickly realized the heartbreak in my mother's face, I mean it ripped right through her... and it brought tears to my eyes to see my mother in such a condition at the coldness of my brother and virtual non existence of my sister and niece... I am weary and hurt, and can't help but feel the most awful pain in my heart... I can't even begin to imagine what my mom through...
The farce of it all is that my brother and sister gave my mom the biggest lies for excuses of their departure I have ever seen. They claim that she was never there and an overall irresponsible mother who was never there, when in fact my mom is truly a good mother (no I do not say that merely to praise the fact she is my mother) she is a woman of pure selflessness if ever there was one, and I can not recollect a single moment in my life where my mom has ever had ANY of those traits.
I beg for prayer, and though I am aware one cannot control another, I ask that I may at least have the courage and will to try and get in touch with my sister and bridge something back to my mom!!
Please pray for me brothers and sisters in Christ!

I will pray for your family. It's so frustrating for a family not to be together when we are only on earth for such a short period of itme. I will pray for your mother as well as both of your siblings.
