holiday prayer for family to be united - brit - 11-19-2007 10:27 AM

My husband, Steve and are in the middle of a divorce, but we have talked about reconciling many times. His mother is having trouble letting go, she always has had trouble but it's like they are punishing me for standing in faith of our marriage despite both of wanting to work things out. She keeps telling him, only think of himself, that all the fighting could potentially ruin his career, and cause problems for his family. Our problems were fighting, loss of feeling valued by each other, things we can work on to have a GREAT MARRIAGE, this time going to God with our problems instead of trying to handle them ourselves. Please pray for our marriage to be restored, that my husband come home (he's been staying with his family) and that there be a spirit of unity and reconciliation over the holidays. This could be the time the family can be healed with God's help. Pray pray pray! Thank you!

Father God i raise this request for the sake of the children Father God that they shall not be lost. I pray that the pastor of the local church you all attend speaks on marriage and repentance. for the word says You O God hate divorce (putting away of the wife) and I dont want to have to wait until a husband dies until I am free to marry for fear of committing adultury. I am sure all these people , men and woman do not want to either because of ignorance of your scripture. Father God this woman sounds as if she is a repenting beleiever - for fear of loosing her salvation. Lord Let the pastors preach that they have understanding on:

Malachi 2: 14
Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant. 15And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
16For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
1 Cor. 7:10-15
"And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace" .
Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. Romans 7:2-3.
"For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law of marriage. So then, if she marries another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress, even though she marries another man"

Father God let all these people be drawn to hear your word, let no weapon against them stop them. Let the pastors and preachers rise up overflowing with a torrent of truth to let your word and will be known that none are further deluded and deceived into hell in Jesus name amen
