Does God really exist for some or everyone? - iwant2know - 12-31-2010 10:29 PM Please pray that the new year will bring me peace and happiness in my life and that my visa status will be approved. I want to know that God really does exist. I want to see it and not just have it told to me. It's important that I know and feel his exsistence in my life. I am tired of this lifelong confusion and struggle. Thank you, Tania RE: Does God really exist for some or everyone? - Guest - 12-31-2010 10:38 PM Tania, the bible says that if we seek, we shall find, if we knock the door will be opened. God is not the author of confussion. You are seeking the truth and it will set you free. We believe in faith that God is who he says he is. I know that God loves you and that you want him to be more real in your life. You can see the Lord with your spiritual eyes. Our spirits are wittness's to the truth. I pray that you receive your visa approval and that you will have a peaceful and happy life. God never said it would be easy to follow him. We choose to take the narrow road. The struggle is because the enemy is warring for your soul. To follow Christ is a decision of the mind and an act of the will. Be at peace Tania God will reveal himself to you in a powerful way. I pray that you will not miss the boat when God passes by. I pray that your eyes will be opened and you will see and know that he is God. Some plant, some water but the Holy Spirit causes the growth. RE: Does God really exist for some or everyone? - iwant2know - 12-31-2010 10:46 PM Thanks for responding. I think I gave up on God about 8 years ago. Believe me I really want to be the perfect Christian and I wanted to be everything in God but it seems that everything that I tried to do with my life was a failure and there was no God there to help me through any of it. Most days I pretend to be happy and feel like I am going insane. I have asked God to prove to me that he loves me but have yet to experience anything. Some days I dread waking up. In a few months I will be 38 y.o. and have done absoultely nothing with my life. I wasted five years and $70,000 + on a college degree that I do not have. No education, no husband, no children, no job, no real life, no god and nothing to look forward to other than misery on a daily basis. I feel like such a waste to human life. RE: Does God really exist for some or everyone? - Guest - 01-01-2011 05:19 AM 6 "Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7 For we live by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad." 2 Corinthians 5 NIV 12 "In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted" 2 Timothy 3 NIV 14" I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one." John 17:14–15 NIV 105 "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." Psalm 119:105 NIV RE: Does God really exist for some or everyone? - Guest - 01-01-2011 05:25 AM & the reward ![]() PARADISE/HEAVEN ![]() 2 Corinthians 12:1–9 Paul’s Vision and His Thorn 12 I must go on boasting. Although there is nothing to be gained, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord. 2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. 3 And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— 4 was caught up to paradise. He heard inexpressible things, things that man is not permitted to tell. 5 I will boast about a man like that, but I will not boast about myself, except about my weaknesses. 6 Even if I should choose to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain, so no one will think more of me than is warranted by what I do or say. 7 To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.†Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. iwant2know Wrote:Please pray that the new year will bring me peace and happiness in my life and that my visa status will be approved. RE: Does God really exist for some or everyone? - iwant2know - 01-01-2011 08:30 AM Thank you all for your responses. This morning has not been good. Just another day of crying in bed and wondering what happens next with me. RE: Does God really exist for some or everyone? - Guest - 01-01-2011 11:17 AM Tanja, God does exist. And if you look back at your life and will count all the blessings you experienced, you will feel better about today and sure about tomorrow - knowing or not you are in God's hands, you are dear to Him. All good gifts come from the above. Look how much suffering is around - all because of sin, of satan's work. Satan (deciever), our very real enemy, the lier, the destroyer, he is the one who wispers lies in your ears about your unworthiness, the one who wants you not to give yourself to God, the one who wants you to be spiritually disabled and feeling weak... You are at war, you are being attacked but the Victory is in Jesus, not in your perfection or strength. Run to His side and stand on His word - God's Word is the only real thing you can hold on to right now. His words does not say you have to have a husband, a good job and all that wordly stuff to have worth in His eyes. He chose to die for you before you were even born, so you can have assurance in Him, have forgiveness and therefore a free pass to the relationship with Him. YOu can't do stuff to be a perfect Christian. There are no perfect Christians - Jesus is perfect and all He wants from you is...ALL of who you already ARE - the good, the bad and the ugly (and hurting and discouraged too) - give it to Him daily...Despite of bad things we see and experience here on earth, temporarily, remember - All good things are from the LORD and there were and are good things in your life. Hey, when was the last time you wondered about the snowflakes - the excuisite beauty, each one is unique, will never repeat - made only to last few moments and give you joy - if you happen to notice?? How can you wonder if there is God, sister? Look at yourself - bearing the consequences of the corrupt world, but made SO beautifully, wonderfully, thoughtfully by Him! What is the point of living? - You are made for a relationship with God, so the day you wake up and give Him praise for who He is, and submit yourself to Him - whatever comes, and sit quiet and listen and just BE in awe of Him, and then read His love letter to you, the Bible - your day won't be wasted - you would have the most importanth thing - time with Him taken care of.. And this way, by putting your plans down and discovering a joy of just being in Him the way you are, by desperately holding on to the truth in His Word despite the winds of lies and attacks from the enemy blown on you, you will be renewed in your spirit, you will gain insights and ideas and direction for the next little step, you will dicover next little gift prepared for you. His Word (not ours, not yours) and the truth about His beautifull (not yours) will for your life, His strength (not yours), His perfection (not yours), His loving provisions of grace and mercy are the assurance and the hope you have in Him.. Dear, beautiful, precious Tanja, sisterm may you wake up to His love today. May you realise you need ONLY HIM (not husband, friends, diploma, perfect puffy worldly job..) to be fulfilled, loved, complete. May this new, fresh year be a year of discovering Him - in His Word and little, daily things and wonders. RE: Does God really exist for some or everyone? - iwant2know - 01-01-2011 11:23 AM I have never had any blessings. I don't see the point of living if you don't have a purpose. I am almost 38 years old; at this time I should have accomplished alot instead of dwelling over what's next. If there is a God he has never given me a reason to love him. RE: Does God really exist for some or everyone? - Guest - 01-01-2011 12:57 PM So sad you don't see it. He DIED for YOU!! He didn't have to!! No blessings? Did you eat today? Are you warm? Did you sleep? Do you have computer access? Can you read, write, hear, see, smell??? Can you love others??? Can you help anyone with a words, deed, prayer? I will be praying for you Tanja. You bare in bondage now and you bCAn get free by the truth if you choose to. Strongly consider reading Bible daily and holding on, applyin to yourself to what you find there. |
