PRAY FOR A NEW BELIEVER - Believer in Christ - 11-17-2010 09:26 PM
Please pray for Nick, he is very close to me and was just saved(PRAISE THE LORD) on October 18, 2010. I request that he can fall in love with God's Word and grow deep roots to build a firm foundation in faith in Jesus Christ. Please pray that he can detach from things of this world, and set him on things that will please God. He does not see a problem with listening to crude humor or mainstream rap that has vulgar lyrics, he does not want to listen to Christian music, and he does not see an issue with violent video games or movies that send questionable messages. He has already come so far and I don't want him to fall because of things like sexual immorality, thank you for praying!

Lord God, I ask that You draw close to Nick, and impart forgiveness to his erring soul. May he learn to obey Your Word, and seek to do that which is pleasing in Your sight. May he read and apply the teaching found in John 15: 1-12, and be serious in his walk with You. Send Your Holy Spirit to be with him and ease the strain of the transition as he leaves the darkness and enters the light. May he understand the true meaning of the Gospel, the magnitude of his sin, what he was saved from, and the horrible reality and significance of Your death on the cross. Grow and mature his faith, and instruct him to make the right choices and decisions to prefer holiness and sanctification and to reject sin and degradation. In Jesus' precious name, Amen

Precious Jesus, PRAISE YOUR NAME for this new child of Yours. Help him to grow in Your word. Open his eyes and show him that satan uses these little things, like music & video games, to break the bond he has with You. Precious Jesus, guide him to be a witness to others about him. Lord, direct his paths, so that he may be a light to others. Help Beliver in Christ be a light to him. Give them the right words to say that may show him these things are not right. In this I ask in Your name,Jesus.Amen.
