Marriage in trouble - xie1021 - 04-27-2010 02:17 PM

I ask that you please pray for my marriage. My husband and I are basically separated, yet living in the same house. We have had a lot of issues in the past and have hurt each other and damaged our trust in each other. I am in counseling with a wonderful Christian marriage counselor and praying that my husband will decide to join me so that we can work on saving our marriage and learn to have a good Christian relationship. My next counseling session is tomorrow and I am nervous about asking my husband if he will join me. I suppose I'm afraid he will say no. Please pray for our marriage and our family. Thank you.

Dear Jesus,

You have not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of courage, where we can cry Abba, Father.

Lord Jesus, help this beloved wife, have your spirit of courage to go to her husband in faith and ask him to join her together in doing your perfect will for their marriage and not their own.

Speak to her husbands heart and infuse in him your candle of love, hope , and all the beautiful things of love and marriage in your unity and ignite that flame of desire first for you Jesus and then for his wife, so nothing in this world can seperate them first from you, then each other.

Bless and protect their marriage and their family and send whatever they need to minister to their hearts and home.

In your beloved name, I pray Lord Jesus.

Amen.
