From what Anthony is telling you, he is not ready for a relationship and at this point, I would not pursue one with him. Is the relationship you have with Anthony right now all bad? No. As you said, the Lord used him to show you that there are other men in the world besides your ex, Carlos. I think the Lord is trying to direct you toward the man he has for you, but I don't think Anthony is it either. Could things develop? Yes...but at this point, from what he is telling you, I would not invest in him further. I would be thankful to have a very good friendship with him. At this point, I think you need to pray for yourself for direction from the Lord and wait for His reply. He will guide you to the right person. You can continue to pray for Anthony, but I would guard your heart, as the bible says, so that the Lord can direct you the way He would have you to go.
