I stand in agreement with these prayers. I ask for the same prayers for me and my soon to be ex-husband. We are unfortunately, well into the divorce process and I have prayed and prayed to no avail. He has gotten really ugly, underhanded and very dirty thru this process. He has never agreed to any sort of counseling, let alone a marriage retreat. Lord, divorce is an aweful thing for everyone involved. Please take control of these couple/marriages and guide them back to your way. In Jesus' precious name, Amen.

A Standers Affirmation

I AM STANDING FOR THE HEALING OF MY MARRIAGE!... I will not give up, give in, give out or give over 'til that healing takes place. I made a vow, I said the words, I gave the pledge, I gave a ring, I took a ring, I gave myself, I trusted GOD, and said the words, and meant the words... in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in good times and in bad...so I am standing NOW, and will not sit down, let down, slow down, calm down, fall down, look down or be down 'til the breakdown is torn down!

I refuse to put my eyes on outward circumstances, or listen to prophets of doom, or buy into what is trendy, worldly, popular, convenient, easy, quick, thrifty, or advantageous... nor will I settle for a cheap imitation of God's real thing, nor will I seek to lower God's standard, twist God's will, rewrite God's word, violate God's covenant, or accept what God hates, namely divorce!

In a world of filth, I will stay pure; surrounded by lies I will speak the truth; where hopelessness abounds, I will hope in God: where revenge is easier, I will bless instead of curse; and where the odds are stacked against me, I will trust in God's faithfulness.

I am a STANDER, and I will not acquiesce, compromise, quarrel or quit.. I have made the choice, set my face, entered the race, believed the Word, and trusted God for all the outcome.

I will allow neither the reaction of my spouse, nor the urging of my friends, nor the advice of my loved ones, nor economic hardship, nor the prompting of the devil to make me let up, slow up, blow up, or give up 'til my marriage is healed.

Lord, I too pray that you restore this marriage. Fill this husband with the feelings, thoughts and visions needed to realize that divorce is not the solution. Send this husband the power of the Holy Spirit so that he will clearly know the value of his wife and marriage. Also, Lord, I ask that you restore every marriage that is heading for divorce. Also, stop every divorce process, including mine, that Satan has control over. Even those where the husband and wife have become estranged to each other such as me and my husband. Do not let Satan continue destroying the sacred bond between a husband and a wife that you bestowed upon. You have the power to intervene and redirect everyone's freewill so PLEASE step in and guide these husbands and wives, including my husband to and down the path of reconciliation. Lord, you can bring back life, love, happiness, communications, beauty and new beginnings between a husband and wife! Nothing is impossible with you! In Jesus Name, Amen

God, I ask for you to be with my husband today. I know he is thinking about what he wants to do and I pray for you to led his thoughts. We have such a wonderful future ahead of us. Please bring him home to stay.

Father...hold every thought that this man has captive to the mind of Christ that he may make choices based upon your holy will. Let this wife continue to cover him in prayer and when they speak to do so with sweet and loving words of encouragement that draw him to her and not drive him away. Father let her maintain the discipline to wait on your hand to move in this matter for your word says..."Wait on the Lord and be of good courage, and he will strengthen thine heart." Psalm 27:14 Let her wait on the victory that you are preparing. In Jesus name...Amen!

Thank you to everyone who has prayed for us. Adoring1 you are completely right when you told me to "wait on the Lord". That is what I am struggling with right now. I want to jump in and try to fix it again. That won't work. I have to wait on the Lord to restore and redeem my marriage. Thinking I was in control is one of the main reasons I'm in this situation. That just doesn't work! I read last night that sometimes the enemy seems the strongest just before a victory. I have to believe we have a victorious outcome in the making. I know my husband has been shaken up recently. I continue to pray that is God at work and the outcome will be miraculous!

Four days have passed since I've seen or talked to my husband. I pray a breakthrough is close at hand. I believe all the discouragement I feel is Satan working overtime because we are so close to reconciliation. Thank you God for my wonderfully supportive friends. They all tell me I am handling this with grace and strength. If so it's only because You give them to me. Please bombard my husband with your thoughts today and push away the enemy's lies. Please bring him home so I can start fresh and show him all I've learned about how to really love someone. In Jesus name, Amen.

Father, help Mp71 to clearly recognize the strategy of the enemy. He is using the time of silence to allow her mind and heart to be discouraged to try to get her to move ahead of God. Father help her to keep her mind focused on you and the lessons learned in the boot camp. Let her understand that your time is not our time...and that what the enemy is using for evil you are using for good. Holding our tongues as woman is challenging for many of us. If we do not have the discipline to do it under these circumstances...how can we when our men are with us under the same roof? Surrendering control to you Father is the first step...and true surrender means leaving it in your hands without getting in your way. You Father are teaching Mp71 discipline which is critical in relationships...you are also teaching her to exercise her belief in you and faith in your word...which is even more important. Real love does not impose itself on others...it is patient and kind and wants what is best for the other person...as God wants for us. Sometimes Father what is best is to remain quiet until you give us instructions. Help Mp71 to remain quiet until she hears from you. In Jesus name...Amen!
