Different Prayer Question - m12281515 - 01-29-2015 08:10 PM For those who are much more knowledgeable than I, I ask what is the difference between praying and spiritual warfare praying? Are the request different or how you pray different? Thank you for any knowledge you pass on to me. RE: Different Prayer Question - Guest - 01-29-2015 08:45 PM God bless you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Spiritual warfare praying is you know who you are fighting with or who/what type of spirit(s) is behind a person or situation so you target to that directly. Of course, you have to be Born-Again to do this. We have been given authority to trample demons as the Bible stated and we can use this authority against our enemies through our Lord Jesus Christ in other word "in the name of Jesus". Also, you must already have the gift of 'Discerning of spirits' in order to do spiritual warfare prayer on anything or situation. You have to be bold and hit the target. You pray according to what the Bible says and strike your enemies with the sword which is the word of God. Our enemies are not the people who are giving us hard times but you must know what type of spirits behind that person then you pray against that spirit(s) by binding and loosing. You must know at least a little about different types of demons or any spirits that are not of the Holy Spirit who are operating in a person or situation. I hope this help you and give you a little understanding. There's more to this...i.e. spiritual warfare prayer. Please ask me more if I missed something that you wanted to know. Lord cast out all these harsssing tormenting demons off this man Now by your blood i pray and No weapon formed against me and family shall prosper...Lord move us to a safe place soon IJN...praying for you Ep6,2 Chron 15 RE: Different Prayer Question - Guest - 01-30-2015 06:51 AM Prayer means talking to God as a friend, submitting needs, praying for another person. Spiritual Warfare typically goes hand in hand with salvation of souls. That's where the leaders actually engage in intercession to remove certain principalities in certain areas so that souls could be saved. Ephesians 6:10-17 “[10] Finally, brethren, be strengthened in the Lord, and in the might of his power. [11] Put you on the armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil. [12] For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and power, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places. [13] Therefore take unto you the armour of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and to stand in all things perfect. [14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of justice, [15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace: [16] In all things taking the shield of faith, wherewith you may be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the most wicked one. [17] And take unto you the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit (which is the word of God).” RE: Different Prayer Question - Guest - 01-30-2015 10:34 AM (01-30-2015 06:51 AM)Guest Wrote: Prayer means talking to God as a friend, submitting needs, praying for another person. RE: Different Prayer Question - m12281515 - 01-30-2015 12:18 PM Thank you so much for your responses and helping me to understand the difference. It is greatly appreciated. Bless you all! RE: Different Prayer Question - Guest - 01-17-2017 08:54 AM I desire deeply to know the word and speak it boldly and with faith by the power of the Holy Spirit and to operate in the faith and courage. I know the Holy Spirit lives in me but what is the fillung of the Spirit..and is there always evidence by speaking in tongues RE: Different Prayer Question - Guest - 01-17-2017 09:42 AM I believe your most powerful weapon is covering yourself with the blood of Jesus Christ, and believe He gives you the power to rebuke demons by his name Jesus Christ and by His Blood, and they will flee from you. Claiming the Blood of Jesus Christ to cover you from head to toe, is putting on the amour of Christ. There is no other power more powerful here on earth or in the universe, not even speaking in tongues has that power as Jesus's Blood does. I have been through a lot where nobody believed I could come out of, only by Jesus Christ and His Precious Blood I am still here today after forty years later, giving him thanks for helping me, and for removing those demons out of my life. People say it was a miracle or just plain luck, but I know it was the Blood of Jesus Christ who came to my rescued, and here I am today thanking and praising Him. May you too be able to come back here soon to thank and praise the Lord for hearing your prayers and coming to your rescued too. May the Lord bless you more than you can ever imagine, in Jesus name amen. As a little girl I learned in Sunday School to sing the chorus of the hymn "There is power in the blood of Jesus", and I have put it into practice many times in my life with faith in Jesus and His Blood, which never fails us. Here are the words if you don't know it, you can listen to the whole hymn being sang on the net if you search for it. (There is power, power, wonder-working power In the blood of the Lamb. There is power, power, wonder-working power In the precious blood of the Lamb). Remember there is no magic and no other power out there, but the Blood Of Jesus Christ, by His Blood He defeated the enemy already for us, remind the enemy that he is powerless. You can get rid of him every time he tries to harass you by covering yourself with the Blood of Jesus with faith, and the enemy will flee from you, Praise The Lord!!!!!! RE: Different Prayer Question - GodheardHannah - 01-17-2017 08:09 PM I don't know that one knows if there is spiritual warfare. We pray and it occurs depending on what we're praying about but I don't know that we purposely go into warfare. For example, look at Daniel. He did not know why his prayer was delayed but it was revealed to be because of the warfare in heaven. We know that it goes on and when we're up against adversity, we can assume it is part of warfare. Don't know if this helps or if it adds to the confusion. RE: Different Prayer Question - Guest - 01-17-2017 10:04 PM Lord Jesus, You said that when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of God will raise a standard against him! (Isa.59:19) But You also said that we should do OUR part. You said, "RESIST the Enemy and he shall flee from thee!" (Jam.4:7) I'm not just being passive, Lord, expecting YOU to do it all -- I am here and now, "FIGHTING the good fight of faith! -- Resisting my adversary the Devil!" And trusting YOU, Lord Jesus, to deliver me from him and all of his devices!-1Tim.6:12; 1Pet.5:9. Give me the victory, Lord, in Jesus' Name! I REBUKE you, Satan! God DAMN you, Devil, in the Name of Jesus! You promised, Lord Jesus, that "whatsoever we would bind on Earth would be bound in Heaven!" (Mat.18:18) -- So I BIND all the power of the Devil right now and I command him to get OUT, to get AWAY from me, from our life, from this house, from this property, from this neighbourhood, never to return, in Jesus' name! AMEN! ! |
