Dear Brother_David,
Your post is BEAUTIFUL, Thank you so very much BlessJesus-sign I was so surprised to read this this morning. My heart hurts so much, but focusing on healing, peace, and the wonderful memories we have of our special, handicapped beloved dog, who tried so hard. He had so many friends that loved and helped him through his life. Took flowers and his favorite dog toy to my sister who had saved his life when he was just a small puppy. He was brought in to be put down by a little girl and her father 10 years ago. My sister took him home, but could not provide for him in a small apt, so my son rescued him, he lost his home in 2008, so we took him our home for 9 years. our beloved dog had three legs, and a huge loving heart. Thank you Brother_David

Lord Bless this dear one that had to put their beloved pet down in order to end it's suffering. Mend their heart of grief and loss and help them to realize the actions they took were motivated out of love and not sin. It blesses my heart to see that they have begun to heal and find peace. Help their memories of their dear pet to be warm and loving ones always. Lord Jesus please comfort them and in due season when their pain and loss has healed some help them to provide a home to another precious animal so that they might know that special and unique love that a pet can bring into our lives once more.

I pray this in Jesus mighty and precious name,

Amen

What you did was merciful for your beloved dog, I'm sure God does not hold it against you neither does your dog, for he is resting in peace now. You have to forgive yourself of a sin you have not committed. I know it hurts you a lot for we love them so much and they are part of our family, but to put them to sleep is not murder. Murder is killing another human being, that's what the bible means.
Lord help this person to forgive them self for having to put their beloved pet to sleep, and out of his misery and pain. Heal their broken heart for his loss, in Jesus name I pray amen.

I think that the commandment in question mainly concerns killing people. I would not interpret it to concern your situation. Many people say that it is good if you end an animal's sufferings.

However, if you feel that you sinned, remember that Jesus has died for your sins and reconciled you with His Father. In other words, you do not need to dwell on your sins. You can trust that you have been forgiven!

Please say a prayer for me
I had my beloved dog, who had an nose tumor, failing kidneys, and loss of his back legs. They could not operate on his nose tumor as it was in an advanced stage and he was having a hard time breathing and could not sleep. I have been crying and crying for I miss him so. But did I violate on of the Lord's ten commandments? I feel I did and have prayer for forgiveness
