Blue Panda, I'm sorry that you're going through such a hard time with your friend. It's heartbreaking, I know from experience. My best friend and I fought six months ago and I haven't been able to speak to him since. However, the best thing to do is to give over your friendship to God, truly give it to Him. We're not to pray for the same thing over and over, according to Matthew, not meaning that we can't pray every day for someone. But, I guess my point is, are you praying with belief and faith? I know how difficult it is to suddenly have a relational conflict and to have to wait. I wanted so much to call my friend, but the Lord insisted that I wait. There are days I still struggle, but the Lord has to do the fixing. If you have wronged that person, then, you need to do what you can to try to remedy what happened, but then you need to leave it in the hands of the Lord. That means, if she doesn't answer the message you leave on the phone or needs space, you need to respect that. Allow the Lord to work. Pray not only for your reconciliation, but pray for her and her needs. Is she saved? Is she struggling with something that you know the Lord could intervene on? The Lord will perform a miracle, if you believe Him for it, but it just may not be in your timing. If you don't get back together right now, that doesn't mean that God isn't fully able to to fix it and put it back together later. Remember the story of Lazarus. His sisters prayed for Jesus to come and heal him, but the Lord came after his death. And, when they had lost all hope, the Lord called him forth. A good song for that is called, "Four Days Late," if you need a godly song to encourage you. The Lord says nothing is too hard for Him. Have faith, faith enough to wait, and the Lord will get you through the struggle. Even if you have to wait awhile, the Lord will restore your relationship if it's meant to be restored, and He will be the friend that sticketh closer than a brother (Prov. 18:24) Hope this helps~ |
