James 1:2-4: "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

I am going through the exact same thing, as far as waiting on the Lord to restore a relationship. It is so hard when you're going along without your best friend, because you hurt, you're sad, and it feels like you have to carry everything alone. But, you are not alone. The Lord says in Proverbs 18:24, that there is "a friend that sticketh closer than a brother." In times when you're waiting, God is trying to get closer to you and build up your relationship with Him. Continue to pray for your friend, and the Lord will give you the expected end you wish for (Jeremiah 29:11).

This patience He works is not so you can suffer and avail in nothing, but so that He helps you to find contentment with whatever you have in life. So, when He is finished, you will be "perfect" (meaning complete).

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up as eagles; they shall run, and not grow weary; and they shall walk and faint." Isaiah 40:31

Hope this helps. God Bless~[/b]
