Lord please continue to carry Paula through all this crisis she is living at this time in her life. Comfort her and take away all the sadness and depression by replacing it with joy and happiness in you. Guide her to do the right thing for her and her children, also repair their relationship. Clear her mind from all the hurt and heal her broken heart, her and life by letting her feel your love helping, protecting, supporting, and giving her strength for above. I pray this in Jesus name, amen. Warrior
God loves you Paulan and so do we, never forget that. You are not alone for God is with you, and you have many praying for you here. Heart

the best advice above; be the mother God made you for your children, an example of a woman that is devoted to God almighty - Be there for your children rather then having others to take care for them, then you will forget selfpity - and your children will in return be close to you -

The difference between a wife & a mother when married (to a husband).
Paula, there are many men that are not mature & when married they act like small boys, the are, "naughty," act out, do whatever they please, like forelorn teenagers (or less). A grown-up Godly man is not like this.
As a wife our job is to act as such. The men that want to treat their wife poorly, not be committed, cheat, lie, do what they please are in search of a mother not living as a husband to his wife. There are women that do the same, are looking for a father figure, not willing to maturely walk out a marriage.
Timothy is not grown up, he is like a small boy who is doing what he pleases. You are a mother but to your children, you are not Timothy's mom. That is why this is not working out, he is still seeking to be a little boy, not a man.
Your role as mother to your children is however important. Timothy's looking for playmates. I believe God Is Looking To you to bring about the stability in your own life now, be a mother to your children, order to your own life.
The starting of a support group that is advised here is a great idea.
We are to be like children to enter the kingdom of Heaven but that means God's Children, not immature creatures who wallow ongoing in self pity.
It's normal to grieve loss, with many emotions. Anger, sadness, confusion, denial. But working through this is what grown up's do.
Little boys (& little girls) will always seek playmates, in a futile attempt to passify fantasy, living in the moment, the conscious is not developed at such a young age.
Adults, God's people live by rules, the bible, laws that govern those that are saved. You are not abandoned. You are going through a difficult time. Welcome to adulthood. It's written in The Book that Christians do suffer.
Put on your armor of CHRIST, fight the battle, reach out to others that suffer (as is advised here). Timothy has a mother. Let him find out the difference between a wife & mother by letting go of that role you are playing to him as mom. As a daughter of CHRIST we are safe, protected, empowered. Not for the fainthearted.
Let Timothy know that you don't want to play anymore. Embrace a war that can be won, good & evil. Be the mother God Made you for those kids of yours, an example of a woman that was devoted to her husband (who is now wayward).
You are no weakling Paula. Stop playing the games with the cowards. As is said here, if your area is short on support groups, start one. Turn victimhood into victorious. Take the focus off of Timothy & put it back where it belongs, on JESUS CHRIST. If your now ex husband was he man he claims to be, he would be doing the same. He's not, didn't, won't. But you can.

Paula listen to all the good advice they are giving you here. If you have no church, or the church you are attending is way too big to fulfil your needs, then find a smaller church to go to. If there is no supportive group for divorce or separated women, then start one. It doesn't have to be in your home if you are afraid to bring strangers into your home. Just advertise like in the Pennysaver to meet you in a McDonald, Panera, or any other public places where you all can buy your own coffee, and you can sit and meet for the first time, also talk a little without being pushed out and get to know each other. Who says, the churches have to run everything in our life? Take charge of your own life and allow God to help you, not others run it for you. There are so many public places to meet in a little group and have a meeting without it costing a fortune, specially in Connecticut. But you have to do something, if the churches will not help you start one, do it yourself. I know the churches are not kind to divorce or separated woman, I've learned that in my life. I can imagine how God is frowning down on them for it. Believe me there are many out there in the same situation as your in need of supportive and fellowship group. Do something Paula, maybe God is calling you for this ministry, if only for a short time then when your time is up, someone else can continue it. But don't sit around feeling sorry for yourself that's the worse thing you can do. Nor allow Timothy to ruin your life this way. You are still young and time passes us by way too fast. Before you know you will be too old to start anew if you keep sitting home waiting for him to come back. There are many good men out there without garbage in their life. If you will only give yourself a chance and stop thinking of a man that doesn't deserve you, you can find someone better. Your children will soon be adults and will have their own life's to live. So please make your new one now while you are still young enough to do so. One day not far from now you will wake up one day, and you will be an old lady full of regrets for not doing something to start a new life while you were still young enough to do so, is that what you want out of live? We all make our own bed and some say, we have to lay on it. But I say, with God's help and uncondional love he can help us redo it better, if we only allow him to help us, so stop clinging to the old blankets and redo yours. Heart
Lord give Paula the courage, strength, comfort, and wisdom to redo her life while she puts her trust in you all the way. Help her to lift herself, shake off all the old garbage and fears, and march on with you holding her hand all the way to a better life for herself. May she become a great blessing in her life to many that are also hurting the way she is. I pray in Jesus name, amen. Warrior

Paula, you are living your life as if you are still married to Timothy, & you are not. Yes, the two shall become one & unless you cheated on him he is still bound to you until death. This is why you are struggling. However, you are divorced, legally, biblically. Timothy, biblically, is not free to be dating or marrying anyone else, you know that. God however Gives us free will & we are judged accordingly.
Letting go does not mean denying that you were married, it is not saying Timothy should do whatever he wants (as he apparently is not mature or desirous of living by God's Rules). You can however, honor your now ex husband, by giving him his freedom, cutting ties as he desires.
This will allow you to flourish again. Timothy is a sinking ship Paula, in his life now, he is blind & you are following him. The good part is that he is asking you to step aside that you will be saved. People choose their destiny. He is clearly choosing his path. God Will Protect you if you allow Him to & He Will Guide you.

Paula, something else that divorced women that are going through what you are, & there are MANY (unfortunately); life is not an easy road. There are many men (& women too actually) who do whatever they want, they fornicate, marry when they are not biblically free to do so. As you realize, there are men out there (& women) that want to walk through this life without the hard work, they take the easy road. When life gets difficult they jump ship. This is Not a role model. On the outside these folks may look like they have their act together, they may have many an admirer. Solid Christians however discern, they take their time in knowing others, they have their feet planted on solid ground.
Paula, I believe you have gotten caught up in the chaos that Timothy allowed in your lives as a married couple. He is living this life now without you, but you can choose to let go of this false/decieving path.
It is a rough road to put one's life back together after divorce. Once you acknowledge this, & that Timothy has no grounding in his life with or without you, then you can take the reigns back with GOD & go about in healing. There will always be darkness/false/deceit. This is encased in chaos, lies, sin. It may even be a pretty package, endless promises; however TRUTH stands the test of time. Walk with The Lord, let go, let GOD. Embrace TRUTH. It's not going to be easy Paula. However Timothy wants easy & that is not reality. God's Path is constant hard work, suffering, blessings, success that leads to eternal rewards.
You can shine still as a divorced woman, a leader with Christ as Your Head now. You will not disappear, or fail, not with The Lord. You can continue to speak & live TRUTH, for yourself, your daughter, other women. Timothy does not have to crush you Paula. God Is our All.
It's ok to grieve, to be sad, to hurt. Once you shift your energy to releasing that which is not real (Timothy want to play, he does not want to live the commit he made with you before God) anymore, your life will begin to reshape & thrive. Beleive in HIM, in yourself that God Loves you Paula. Embrace that. Be a leader, in & with Christ Jesus.

I come in agreement in Jesus Christ's name with the person who posted this prayer request. Father God you know what he/she/they need, grace and mercy please Lord. Paula needs you Lord you are the only who can help in this situation.

Please end the torture some cycles of our lives for us Lord, please lift us in the eye of our enemies and heal us Lord. Also Lord please don't forget NJ who is constantly suffering greatly in her whole body and her right arm. Spare us all injuries of all sorts oh Lord. Spare us bodily harm, injuries, sicknesses of all sorts oh Lord. Your people are suffering ever so much oh God. The prisons, the rapes, the beatings, the unjust occupations and depletion of our resources and lands that you blessed us with. Savior savior what's happening under those tents when it rains, drug addicts, the rapes, the infections, the muds, the burns, the humidity, the abuse, the loneliness, constant humiliation, hunger pangs, feeling worthless, constantly feeling thrown away, the manipulation. Oh savior, it hurts, it burns. Yahweh, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth it hurts, it burns.

Savior by the faith that you put in me, the compassion that you have burning in your heart for humanity and the generosity that could only have originated from you. In the name the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth: let your people be free, healed, saved, consoled, fed, may lonely hearts fine love and mates, sheltered, wars, pointless senseless wars, please help victims of natural disasters start over and be healed from their lost, those who needs to be educated, deliverance from all pains, atrocities, problems, abuses, manipulations, jobless, homeless, financial problems, prisoners, divorces, broken hearts, emotional and mental instabilities, may all and all become good, perfect and joyous in the name of the blood of Jesus Christ-Amen.
