Dear Lord, please have mercy on Robert and their child.
In the Name of the Lord, right now I command to all the power of darkness and the curses to leave Robert and their child! Now!
I pray that Your will to be done in their lives.
Please open the gates of financial blessings in our lives.
You are the King of kings and Your Name is Wonderful.
Thank You my Lord

This, I believe may be so but I am not convinced.
I do believe that it states clearly a man can remarry when his wife has commited fornication (not just lust in her heart), & there is divorce & that is the only reason God Allows for divorce, according to The Word.
I personally believe, as is you stated, that for good reason, God Gives us our own ability to intrepret scripture, thus we are each held acountable. If it were otherwise, then another would be held accountable for our sins. One has to be careful when interpreting & sharing their interpretations, as I can see you are, but it is that HE CALLS us to follow HIS WORD, & we hear HIS VOICE.
I believe there are expectations that God Has For us, when we fail, we dont' ahve to fling ourselves off the mountain, but it is about reordering our life that it be pleasing to GOD.
Part of the beauty of being a CHRISTIAN is that we ARE able to interpret for ourselves HIS WORD, HIS NAME IS PLACED Upon our hearts, our minds & our souls, that we may live forever!
That's why having a bible nearby & concordance is helpful, that we read THE WORD & thus improve our walk.
I find it fascinating to hear people's interpretations (doesn't mean I am necessarily influenced by ;) ), I believe there are many & it is this accountability that we each walk out, & with HIM, toward our own salvation.
Bless

Thus Solomon had 500 wives. God was angered with Solomon not because of his number of wives but because he married women that were of non-Jewish lineage from outside of the monotheastic tradition. The edict about one wife at a time shows up for the first time in new testament instruction. One of the clearest passages in the bibical Greek occurs in the section of the bible that gives criteria for being a deacon. It states in English and German translations that a deacon must have only one wife...in the greek it states clearly one wife at a time, in essence deacons and other church leadership were not to be married to more than one woman at the same time. Old testament tradition declared that when a woman was widowed the brother of her deceased husband had the responsibility to marry her and provide for her offspring...therefore many Jewish men were required by Mosaic law to marry second and sometimes third wives, which is another example of there being no restriction on the number of wives old testament husbands could have. I agree that the rules for remarriage are to be followed...however if adultery which is the only reason God gives for divorce has occurred by either partner...the other is free to remarry under new covenant tradition. Wives who have had adulterous spouses are not condemned to a solitary life under the new covenant. God's intent is that marriage should be entered into soberly...with maturity....for life. However men who leave their wives for other women under circumstances other than adultery do not continue to have spiritual authority over those that they have abandoned which is the intent of the bonds of marriage. This was not true in the Hebrew translations nor is this found in the Greek.

The one wife @ a time is old testament, not new testament.

The old passes away, there is a new order. Just like Heaven.

I choose to sit up front, so I can clearly hear THE TEACHER.

& we are given Holy Spirit Interpretation, of our own accord,
that we each hear CHRIST, this is why we each are judged.
God Is A God Of Love, but HE Also Has Rules, that is the whole point.
God Bless! It is a good thing to follow HIM, a good parent is strict, loving, but with rules & compassion. If they said, "oh well, you are going out doing all these horrible things, well, let's just talk about it, ha ha, that's ok.. " NO, God Seeks Order, He Is A Loving But Strict God, because HE LOVES us.
It's like having a brand new parent, knowing we have all we need in HIM, & when we grow up & move out, we can go to HEAVEN,
& I want to please God, that I may have all of The Fruits Possible when I arrive.
These are good & wonderful things to follow HIS WORD. It is not bad, it is good, but strict, many benefits!
We are rich when we are with CHRIST! Like THE BESTEST PARENT IN THE WORLD!!! We just decide. I want JESUS AS MY SAVIOR,
move into that mode of following CHRIST (HIS BOOK), then when we move out (to HEAVEN) it will be a glorious day indeed!
I can't think of any rich that compares to being in & with CHRIST,
God Is Love.

Even in divorce, she is bound.

A man is free is she cheated on him (or if married to unbeliever & the leave).

Those are THE only exceptions for remarriage. It is clearly stated.

The difference is we can interpret & then deal with God on Judgement day & this is what will happen, as The Word Says,
this is my belief.

I agree there are a few exceptions for remarriage, but they are strict.
REMEMBER, "it is a narrow path & few shall find it."
If we could do whatever we wanted, would not be any point in being in CHRIST (Christian). There is a rule book, just like in school, we follow it, then we are graded (by God).

For historical background...it is important to note that many men in the Jewish world unfortunately had more than one wife at a time...and had concubines as well. While different English versions translate this cluster of scriptures differently...the bibical greek does read as stated above. It is important to note that elsewhere in the bible it also states that a man is not to divorce remarry and then remarry his former spouse...however this was due to the heirarchial manner in which Jewish law passed down inheritance...I do not in any way mean any disrespect...but thought the point should be made as to what the original language reads and the Jewish law that made it so. In Jesus name...Amen!

[/u]To whom it may concern,

I don't believe it could ever be the Lord's will for you and this woman to have a relationship, because according to the Bible, what the Lord has joined together (meaning marriage), no man is to put asunder. Simply put, the Lord intended for us to each have one spouse. Therefore, even if she did divorce her husband, the Bible directs that in order to be in the Lord's will, she should only be reconciled to her husband. That being said, it would be sinful to continue in a relationship with her, in a romantic/family sense.

However, you being a father, have responsiblity in taking care of the child and though it was not the Lord's will for you to bare a child in this situation, He would have you to take full responsibility for your actions. Therefore, I would do all you can to be a good father in every sense, financially, spiritually--especially teach them how not to repeat your mistake in the future and show them through your testimony how to follow after God and seek the Lord's will, even if you fall.

I would begin praying for your child's salvation as well and that they would become a servant of the Lord. Ask Him to open the door to their salvation early, so that they would grow in him and hopefully avoid making the same mistake or worse mistakes.

I would recommend that you read about King David and Bathsheba. King David sought after the Lord's will after he went through a very similar situation.

All that being said, turn to the Lord--you have his forgiveness, as you stated--now return the favor and begin serving him. Ask Him to restore your testimony. I do not know if your actions have caused irreversible damages, but you can ask the Lord to clean you up and make you a usable tool the best way He can.

I hope that I haven't been too harsh. I mean everything that I have said in love and I pray that it would be a blessing to you. It's hard when we fall, but I pray that the Lord would still be able to use you and that He would comfort you in this time.

Dear Lord,

It's difficult when we sin Lord, because we can miss out on what You have planned for us. However, I pray that You would show him Your forgiveness and I pray that he would turn to You for guidence, Lord. I pray that he would hear what You would have him to hear and to apply to his life. I pray that he would turn to You and that in spite of his sin, You would cleanse him--if he asks and I pray You would make him a usable tool once again. I pray that he would be the role model you would have him to be for this child and that his mother would also turn back to you. I pray that in this sin, You would be able to teach all parties involved how important it is to follow after You and to seek Your will. I pray that the child would never go down this path, but would see Christ through the situation and that they would be saved early in their childhood so that they would grow up in You and learn to be the servant You would have them to be.

I ask that You would have Your will and Your way.
In Christ's name I pray. Amen.

Tameika...pray without ceasing...pray a hedge of protection around your child daily before she leaves for school. Get caller ID and do not answer the phone for private numbers or theirs if you know it...you can also have call your phone company and explain the situation and they will give you instructions on how to trap the number each time they call your home...even if it is blocked...a report will automatically be generated to the phone company as to who is doing the calling...most require 3 calls...and then the phone company will prosecute...something about using federal lines to harass. In this instance though you will need to answer the calls. Most of all put your faith in the Lord...and use this experience to teach your child about being Godly...and choosing Godly friends. Everyone that appears nice does not know God...really knowing him is to revere him and to revere him means we cannot go against his ways. Help your child to learn now to apply that standard in selecting her friends...in the end...her life and yours will be blessed because you did. Father I lift this mother and child up to you...comfort them, protect them and remind them that we walk in faith...not in fear. We will be praying for you! In Jesus name...Amen!
