| Lord, I pray that Your will be done in their lives. Lord, please help Shawn break this addiction. Lord, please clear the path for him to get in to this program soon. I pray that they will be able to make a difference and he will give his life to You. In this I ask in Your name,Jesus.Amen. |

I would like to pray for my fiance Shawn. He has been battling with drug addiction for almost 15 years, with limited success. In this time it has brought much strife to our relationship and family. It has been very difficult and I feel that if he doesn't get help soon this very addiction may take his life. He wants so badly to stop and be a better man, partner and father, but doesn't know how to. After his last big binge he made a decision to go to a Christian discipleship program for Men who struggle with addictions. A one year residential life changing program, a Christ centred and biblically based approach to changing their lives completely in healing and learning to live as God had intended them to do. I myself attended the womans program when I was a teen and it was there where I became a born again Christian. It changed my life forever, and I strongly believe it will do the same for him. There is a waiting period to get into this program and as he feared he has now become somewhat resistant and doubtful about attending. Partially because of the length of time he has to spend away from me and the kids, and also partially in part to fear of change and the unknown. I really believe God has begun something in his spirit and that this is the place for him to be, but these strongholds of the enemy are trying hard to keep him from going, and keep him in bondage. If this is Gods will for him to attend I pray that he will have peace regarding this decision and that the Lord convicts him and that he will know deep in his spirit that this is the right path for him. I would like to pray for protection from trickery and evil that may be trying to convince him to not listen to what the Lord and holy spirit are trying to show him. I pray for strength that if he cannot bring him self before the cross that the Lord place those around him to help guide him there. Give him a yearning so deep to have that intimate relationship with God and let him feel no guilt or shame about having to temporarily leave his family to get help. Let him be satisfied that the Lord will provide for us in his absence and that God is in complete control of this, his/our situation. I pray for his salvation that he may know you Lord through your amazing son Jesus. Give him eyes to hear you Lord and ears to hear, take away the blinders that may be hindering hearing your sweet voice. I pray all of this in Jesus name -Amen thank you deeply to all of those who have taken a moment of their day to pray for us and our family. :Desirae |
