Nothing is too hard for you, our Almighty God. By His stripes heal Gina in the Name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

First of all I want to thank everyone who is and has been praying for Gina. She is doing WONDERFUL. She still has a way to go in regards of being back to her self again but she is doing great. Her blood pressure, diabetes and everything is perfect. Her respiratory therapist came in today and said that her lungs were clean and clear and she has been using her plug (for the trachea) all day today with her saturation level staying between 95-100 most of the time 97-100 which is wonderful.

She is also getting cranky and wanting to get out of there mainly because she is not able to really get up or walk around because she is still extremely weak from being on the life support machine so I understand how she could feel. I'd want to climb the walls myself. Anyway, the fact she is itching to get out is just a good sign of how well she is doing so, again, thanks for the prayers. She is still in ICU but she will be placed in a regular room within the next couple of days and she will go to rehab once the doctors feel she is ready. I feel that once she has a change of scenery and is working with the PT's then she start to feel better. There is a long way to to go but she will get better.

I'm asking you to keep praying for her to get stronger but especially with her muscles and please continue to pray for her finances and that her piece of property would sell.

Also, today when she was talking to me she said that when she was out she remembered that the angels were all sitting around her comforting her and she didn't feel afraid. This is simply amazing to me because along with other things I was praying this was a very specific prayer that I was praying while she was on life support that The Lord would just let his angels SIT AROUND her and comfort her and make her to not be afraid but to keep her fighting and strong and for the Lord to gently whisper to her soul that she is needed here and this is something that I DID NOT talk to her about but she had said it almost exactly as I prayed it. I know the Lord answers prayers. I know the Lord saved me but to truly SEE and HEAR something of this magnitude that the Lord has answered is simply amazing to me. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good.

Thank you so much again for the prayers and please keep praying.

Gina is still doing well. Has not needed the ventilator at all since Thursday. She is animated and alert most of the time however there are some times that she is just tired which is nothing unusual according to the nurses. Things that we take forgranted such as simply moving our fingers, standing up or even swallowing for that matter takes a lot out of someone who has been on life support for 4.5 weeks but she is still looking great and doing great. Also, on a great note - Today the nurse put in some sort of plug into the trachea that she has and I was able to talk to her and SHE WAS ABLE TO SPEAK TO ME FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES. This was great to hear her voice even for a short period (about a minute or 2) so that was great.

Please pray for her to become stronger and stronger every day in general including her lungs and also her muscular therapy. She is worried (and she doesn't need to be) because she is not able to move her fingers that way she used to simply because she was under for so long but we all keep telling her that she is getting stronger every day in regards to her movement and resistance and she didn't feel that the woman at the hospital was helping her enough (and she wasn't stating it in a mean way). This is not something that the hospital takes cares intensively that is something that is going to be handled to a more intense degree in the Rehab center so please pray that the Lord would help her in physical ways but also help her mentally as well regarding that of not becoming discouraged because the doctor already said she would make a recovery but it would be slow (probably 6 - 8 weeks).

At any rate she is doing great but she still needs your prayers for all of this and please also pray for her financial situation particulary this piece of property that is up for sale as someone is interested and she was able to lower the price. She owns this property outright so it would be a tremendous relief for her. Thanks for praying and please continue to do so.

Gina is doing wonderful. While she is still sick and still has the trachea she has been breathing on her own since Thursday. Her skin tone looks great. She is very aware, alert, and WANTS TO GET OUT OF THE HOSPITAL. I told her not yet, but good news is that the nurse tonight said that they were planning to, sometime early next week, move her to a REGULAR ROOM so that means no more ICU. After she is in the regular room at the hospital then she will go to rehab for her respiratory and muscular rehab.

The nurse also commented to me that it was rather unusual for her to be as alert as she is seeing that she was on the life support for 4.5 weeks. I told her that it was The Lord and people praying for her. I also told her that the great care she was getting at Worcester Memorial as well as her own fight didn't hurt.

At any rate she is doing much much better and I just ask you to keep praying for her full recovery. She can move her hands, she can hold a pen but she is still weak and can't really write anything. She is worried about this because she plays the piano and is worried she won't be able to do this. I told her don't worry. She hasn't used her muscles since Dec 5 and she would get better with rehab and prayer she'll be playing again in no time.

Also, just please remember to keep her financial situation in prayer. She needs this prayer. Also, anyone who was praying for my mom and dad thank you. They got the answer to the prayer. Thanks again and please keep praying.

Father, please continue the work necessary with Gina to bring her to full healing. Whatever needs doing you can do...whatever the problem you are the answer. Thank you for the tender mercies you have shown toward her...and please continue the work that her life may be a testimony to all who know her of your power and your love. In Jesus name...Amen!

While Gina still has the trachea in she has NOT needed the ventilator for the past 30 or so hours. When I went in earlier today the nurse said that she had it off of her for 24 hours and that was at 12:30 or so today and it was still off when I left after 5 and showed no signs of needing to have the hose attached back to the trachea. This is good news.

Again, she is still sick but she is looking great. Obviously, she is still weak but she will get stronger with muscular therapy. She will be ready sometime next week to go into the rehab center which is where they will take care of start taking care of her muscular and respiratory. The hospital is already taking care of these but the rehab center is able to handle it to a more intense degree.

Sometime over the weekend she will be having a food tube put into her stomach so please pray that the Lord would guide the hands of the surgeons as this procedure is being done.

Also, please continue to pray for her financial situation as this will be costing lots of money for her so please pray the Lord will provide her needs. She has a piece of property for sale and authorized the agent to reduce the price today so please pray that this property will sell. There is an interested buyer. This would help her tremendously seeing that she will not be working for at least the next month or so.

Thanks for praying and please keep praying for her complete recovery.

Also, I met a man yesterday who was about 60 or so and his mother (who is 92) was having an operation done for stomach cancer. I told him that I would absolutely pray for her as well as him and I asked him her name and her name is LILLIAN so I am asking that you would also please lift a prayer for LILLIAN and her family.

Please continue praying for gina that she would continue to get stronger and stronger every day. She is still on the trachea but she has been breathing on her own most of the time. There are times that it has to be put back on but I am never under the impression that it is because it has to be but rather that she is being weened off and she is still so weak from being on life support for a whole month, so it is more procedural that a NEED but it is still there. Please just pray that she gets stronger and stronger every day and please that she will not need the trachea soon. She is animated. Keeps mouthing to me that she wants to get out of here, seems to be very strong so this is all positive but please pray for her vocal cords and please pray for a complete recovery. She is still sick and will need respiratory and muscular rehab but how can we not praise the Lord for coming thus far????

Also, please pray for her financially for this has been a real HEAVY expense. Please pray that the Lord will provide for her so these bills can be taken care of and she can continually receive the care she needs.

Thank you again for praying.

This is WONDERFUL NEWS. Words can not even begin to express how wonderfully HAPPY I am right now. I went to visit Gina tonight and I asked the nurse. I said "is she breathing on her own right now"? (remember I am a medical idiot). The nurse smiled and said that she has BEEN BREATHING ON HER OWN ALL DAY. She is still sick so please keep praying for her that she would just get stronger and stronger as well as remain calm and rested. Please also keep praying for the nurses and doctors that are caring for her but please praise the Lord for this answer to prayer. I visited her tonight and left the hospital at 7:15 - 7:30 and she was still animated, knew who I was, was trying to mouth (because she is not able to talk right now) the words to me "What has happened"? I said "You don't want to know, but please know that you are going to be ok, it will be slow and people love you." We're all praying for you. Stay strong and don't worry. She wasn't tired, show NO signs of fatigue at all. They said they would have to put the tube back on her again tonight but I was not under any impression that it was because they HAD too but rather that it was just a procedure. Again, she is still ill and will have to go through respiratory rehab and muscular rehab so pray pray pray but also remember to thank the Lord for bringing us this far.

This is a direct answer to prayer from the Lord. Wonderful and amazing.

Also, there is a prayer request that I have that is unspoken as well as please pray for my mom and dad for an unspoken request, also the people in AZ, but this has been a good day in Gina's progress and I just can't tell anyone how happy this has made me as well as many of her other friends. Please just keep praying

Please continue to keep praying for Gina who is on a trachea now. This is a step up from the life support machine, obviously. Doctors say they do believe that she will make a recovery which is good but they also believe it will be a slow recovery. Please pray that the Lord will make her stronger and stronger every day. Pray that there is nothing that would hinder her progress. Also, please pray for these nurses and doctors that are treating her. These nurses and doctors have all been wonderful so please just continue to keep them in your prayers.

Also, again please just remember to keep the families of the victims in AZ in your prayers. Pray for strength. Also, please continue to pray for congresswoman Giffords that she would make a recovery. Again, I am simply amazed, and very happy, that she is still alive. Please pray for strength for her husband and family as well.

Please remember to continue to pray for Gina. She is using the trachea right now. I am a medical idiot so it has since been explained to me that the idea of this trachea is being used to hook up to a ventilator when needed but she was able to breathe on her own for 8 hours yesterday and, so far, four hours today. She is back on it today through the trachea but please keep her in prayer that she would just be able to remain calm and strong and the the Lord would just strengthen her in every way.

She will be heading to rehab within the next week or so with this machine but please pray that the rehab goes the way it should. Please also pray that the doctors and nurses who will be handling her medically in rehab will be filled with wisdom. It appears to me that this trachea is not going to be a 3-5 day thing but maybe a few weeks or so. Please pray, again, that she remain strong. It is a great thing that was able to breathe for 8 hours ON HER OWN yesterday. I know it sounds crazy but it is good. Again, so far today 4 hours. Please just pray that the meds that they use would continue to do what they need to do so she can move forward and be free of a machine, period, but, again, this is optimistic news.
