We received some bad news today. My father's attorney made a filing mistake and my mother is able to walk away with and get a divorce next week if she wants. Up to this point she had filed but gone no further. Apparently his attorney has filed for something saying that the marriage could still be repaired or something...(He's a very strong Christian who does not want this to go through). Her attorney, in response to that, filed something saying my dad had never replied and since it has been so long she's free to get the divorce with no response from him. I guess this happend on Oct 6th and nothing else seems to have changed so I pray that she doesn't see that as her way out. Up until now she keeps saying she can't make up her mind and she doesn't know what to do. I have googled her lawyer and he is apparently verg aggressive and a popular one for women. He's even had been shot at...I ask that people please pray for him as well. I think being a divorce lawyer is a very interesting position and they truly need Gods guidence when dealing with marriages God has put together.

Thank you for your prayer. They have been married for almost 25 years. My mother had an abusive step father growing up and the way she speaks about my dad seems as if she is blaming all of her childhood problems on him. For the past 7 months she has not spoken to him and when asked she says she can't have even one conversation because she knows he will manipulate her. My whole family is very close to God she stopped attending church with us some time ago and I'm afraid without God in her life she may be confused and not know who to turn to.

Father I lift up this marriage to your throne of grace and appeal to you to soften this wife's heart, give to her a heart of reconciliation. Demolish every stronghold in this marriage, including anger, strife, discord, contempt, resentment, bitterness and jealousy. Restore respect, patience, love and kindness. We stand against divorce, Lord, stop the divorce dead in Jesus mighty name. Father it sounds like you have begun a good work in the husband Lord, we ask you now that the wife will start to see changes in her husband and by his conduct she will be won over. Lord help her to come to full acknowledgement of her shortcoming and her own patterns in this marriage. Change the way they relate to one another, and help them foster better communication. Reach back Lord to the foundations of their marriage, perform surgery on it and rebuild it on solid ground. Help this daughter and my sister in Christ to heal and be a positive influence for her mother and father. Prepare hearts and ears to hear correction and reproof, let all communications be seasoned with grace, love and respect. In Jesus name, Amen.

Please pray for my mother and father. 7 months ago my dad was served with divorce papers. My mother has not spoken to him or seen him since. They have communicated some in email but she has stopped responding in the last 2 months. Please pray for my dad to be strong and not give up home, as he very much wants reconciliation, and please pray for my mother's anger to weaken. She has stopped taken steps towards divorce however she has not taken any steps towards reconciliation either. My father's been staying in a RV in a camp ground for almost 7 months and has not been able to come into the place he has called home for almost 25 years. He has been working on all of his issues and will continue to but she has not taken credit for any of the problems in their marriage. Please pray that her heart will soften and she will find a way to begin communicating with him.
Thank you
