Sorry to hear that you have been struggling with depression for 15 years. Depression certainly is a very complex issue and hard to deal with. I believe it is curable if working out with the right therapist or counselor. Father, I pray that You will cast out all of the spirits of fear, all of the spirits of worry, and all of the spirits of anxiety that are influencing this dear one. Give him/her strength and courage to face each day, and rule his/her heart with Your love and peace. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen. |

| Try to start with the book of psalms first, they are like prayers to God. They can comfort us in times like these, and I pray the Lord will touch your mind, soul, emotions, and heal you from this depression. Nothing is impossible for God when we allow Him to work in us. God Bless You! |

I am the original poster- thank you for your kind words. you are not the first person to tell me to read the bible. so since it is lent I decided to read the bible every morning before work so thank you for the kind words and prayer. we will see where God takes me from here |

I can very well understand your situation for I've been there myself. I was in such a dark hole, and it almost drove to suicide. I was always told the same, and many people were praying for me. But the only thing that really pulled me out of that terrible depression was not my believe in God, or pills, or prayers. It was me getting to read the bible for myself, specially the book of Psalms, and praying myself, that's when something click in me and I could understand it so well, and it became alive within me. Only when I realized I needed not to only believe in God, but I had to ask him to come into my life and guide my life from now on. I let Him be my all, and I started having a personal relationship with Him. Not the church, not the building, not a religion, or a group of people, but with the true living God of all of us. The God who gave His only begotten Son to die at the cross for our sins and sickness, that included depression. For none of the others mentioned above died at that cross for us, but Jesus Christ our only Savior and Healer. Give it all to Jesus and you will be better for it, as you allow Him to guide your steps close to Him. Believe in Him with all your might, and know He will bring you out of that dark hole of depression for good. Every time you feel like you are falling back into it, run to the Lord, and to His Holy Word, which is like a balm for our soul, and He will lift you out of it. It's been thirty three years God lifted me, and even delivered me from the pills, now a days my pills is the bible, and running to Him for help, for He is the only one that can help us. I also played Christian music, not the loud one that sometimes we can't even understand the words, but soothing Christian music that calms our soul and mind. It may happen suddenly for some, but for me it took like two years of slowly recovery, for there was so much garbage in my life, but it did happened, and He carried me through it all as He saw my faithfulness in believing that He can heal me from it, and He did, Praise His Holy Name! Lord help this person and heal them from their depression like you did for me. Make them strong in you, and give them the peace that surpasses all understanding as you have given me. May they be able to come back someday giving you praise, and letting others in the same situation know of your love, and how you have healed them too, as they gotten closer to you. Give them what they have missing in their life, the faith to draw them to you, and to give it all to you Lord. For you can make their life worthwhile living. and a more abundant life full of love and happiness. Depart from this person all people who may hindering them in following you, and may be causing this person's depression to get worse. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who love us all no matter where we are in our path in life, you come and lift us all out of it, and guide us the right one. Amen. |

15 years of depression and lost soul seeking his true father. Praying every day for direction and still stuck in the deep dark valley and not seeing any light. I am trying really hard not to give up but 15 years of the same thing is really hard! I am now on anti depression pills and I have asked prayers from family, friends, pastors and I have prayed everyday. I am a believer and I was baptized and confirmed and I believe in god but still I am stuck please pray that God will deliver me out of this and see the rays of the sun. everyone keeps on talking about a loving god and a merciful god and I want to believe but it is hard when you are so depressed for most of your life. Please Father hear my prayers |
