YES!! We thank you Jesus that you are always close at hand, and we praise you for the blessings you give us each day. Please keep Dave healthy, and we ask that your will be done, that he is strong no matter the outcome of the biopsy. You already know that his family and the rest of us wish it to be benign Lord, but we will ask for it as you have taught us in your Loving name Jesus.
Amen

Hi Everyone! What a day! God is good and the surgery went as well as we had hoped. The surgeon found the lymph node and removed it successfully. The doctor said it was quite deep. It has been sent to the lab to be biopsied. Dave is doing well, he is moving around okay. We will find out the biopsy results when we meet with the surgeon this coming Monday. We are both very grateful for your prayers, so please continue to pray his biopsy comes back benign. We'll keep you posted. Thanks again, Jeanne & Dave

Dave and I saw the surgeon today. He is all set to have his surgery this coming Tuesday 3/24th. The doctor said he will be in the hospital just for the day. He will go under general anesthesia and the lymph node will be removed. We are supposed to know the results of the biopsy on the following Monday! Thank you for remembering him in your prayers! God Bless you all. Jeanne

I was reading my post, Jeanne and Dave, and it sounded very dismal. I didn't mean it to be. What I meant it to be, was comforting. My Mom is doing wonderful, and I am sure that you will also. I am so sorry if I made either of you worry more, I did not mean to.
Trust in God (and the Doctors) for God gives them the knowledge to do the great Job that they do.

Dear Lord:

Please help Dave to have successful surgery, and help him to heal quickly.

Please continue to give this family strength and encouragement.

In Jesus' name,
Amen

Lord help this couple through this tiring time and give them the strength they need to keep looking unto you. Help
the doctors to give Dave the right treatment so that he can be heal. I know you can use the doctors to heal us too. May Jeanne be a great comfort and encouragement to her husband at this time as she continue to take care of their boys at the same time. Be with them Lord and bring the kind of peace that only you can give us in times like these. May they be surrounded by people that loves them and be there for them so they won't feel alone. I ask and thank you for his healing in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ and for Your Glory and Honor Heavenly Father, Amen! Warrior

My Mom had a lymph node removed, and a biopsy done 5 years ago, She had lymphoma and went through chemo. It was a difficult time, but I believe that God worked through that situation to bring me closer to him. It was a hard fight for her, and for the whole family. But she is now cancer free, and has been for the last 4 years. Her lymphoma was stage 3, and was in most of the lymphnodes in her stomach, neck, groin, underarms, pretty much ALL of them. She goes in now every 6 months for a CT scan, you are right the PET scans shows alot. I pray that he doesn't need chemo, but if he does, take notes at the doctors office, I am thankful I did, as mom's kidney's failed 2 days after her first chemo treatment, and they had to do dialysis. She was in the hospital for a week and lost 20 pounds. This was because she need a drug to help the dying cancer cells leave her body. they collected in her kidney's and crystilized causing them to shut down. I am not trying to scare you, just to let you know that YES prayer is answered, Mom is doing GREAT. I will pray for your family. Your situation is very close to my heart.
God Bless you all.

Thank you for the continued prayers!. We saw the doctor this week...vascular surgeon...and he said that, after meeting with the radiologist and reviewing Dave's PET scan results thoroughly, he wants to skip the biopsy and just go straight in and remove that lymph node. We asked around a lot, discussed it with each other and family members, and co-workers, and decided to go ahead and get that lymph node cut out so they can biopsy it. The doctor said the radiologist felt that it was too small to remove some tissue for biopsy, but felt it needed to come out completely. There is "atypical cell activity in the lymph node." Then they will biopsy it and, if it is lymphoma, Dave will go through chemotherapy. If it is not, he will have had needless surgery, and a lot of prayers answered!!! PET scans are very reliable and it detected "atypical cell activity". You don't mess with that. I think this whole thing was a Godsend in order to get a man who rarely requires medical intervention to tend to this before it is too late......I just feel that way! We are waiting for the surgeon to call us with a surgery date on Monday. So please continue with your prayers for Dave, me and the our boys.
