Hey standers, just a little something I wanted to share with my fellow standers. God Bless. Keep believing, believe, believe, believe. Still standing for my marriage and all of yours. Ronnie. It's Only For A Season!! Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 Whatever you are going through today, be encouraged, it will not last, it's only for a season. If there is pain, it is only for a season. If there are disappointments, it's only for a season. It will not last. "Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more" (Nah. 1:12). There are many dark valleys mentioned in Scripture, and these typify the many sufferings and hard experiences through which the people of God must pass. Phil. 1:29 "For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake" Joseph's walk through the valley did not last forever. His own brothers sold him to become a slave in Egypt. Through a series of disappointing and frustrating events, Joseph eventually became a ruler in Egypt and in this position was able to save many lives from the devastation of a seven-year drought. Joseph came to see God's hand at work through the very actions of his brothers that had caused him so much pain and difficulty. In a gracious gesture of forgiveness, Joseph told his brothers, "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good." Joseph's valley experience DID NOT LAST. Yours won't either. You may be in a situation right now where you do not yet see the good. But it is these accounts and promises from Scripture, combined with our own past experiences, that give us the confidence that He is walking this valley with us. In fact, not only is He walking it with us, He has gone before us and was in this valley before we even got here! Your valley experience will not last. All things will work together for your good. Be encouraged, something good will come from this. Trust God, He will see you through. He won't allow more than you can bear. What the enemy meant for evil, God will turn it around. Though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, it will not last. It is only for a season. God is with us. He is working all things together for good for those who love Him. God is in your situation, He is in control.Thank Him for the disappointments. That's right, thank Him for making you a better person. Give it all to Him so He can use it for good. Remember, He promises to never leave you nor forsake you (Heb. 13:5). He promises to give you "beauty for ashes" (Is. 61:3). Seek Him each day for strength to go on. Remind Him that He promised to be present in your valley. Ask Him to see you through!! He will do it, if you do not quit! |
