Please pray for me and my girlfriend as we attempted to start a business and rented a commercial building. We never got the business going, and only had a six month prepaid lease. We did not hire an attorney to overlook the terms. The building had issues with the heating which occurred before we took possession of the building. After arguing with the landlord, the furnace was fixed and fuel issued occurred, as well as an ice dam formed and equipment the landlord installed to prevent this issue as it has occurred before is not working properly, which caused some inside damage that we are being held liable for. We are now out of the building per the date the lease terminated, And are having issues over these things. We are willing to pay for things we are responsible for, but we have discovered there are things we might not be liable for that we are being charged for. The landlord has shown he has a short temper, and other companies that deal with him know of his prior actions. Please pray that as we draft our rebuttal letter, gods words and wisdom are present, and that the landlord sees the issues we are questioning and will be open to realistic negotiation so that we can put this behind us and move forward. We spent a major portion of all our funds trying to get the door open. I am on unemployment, I sprained my ankle very bad last week, I have other health issues that need attention, we are almost out of firewood-i can go cut more but need the weather to improve and melt enough snow to get to it. My girlfriend is starting to get more hours at work, but things are very tight. Please pray for our continued financial improvement. I have not been to church in over a year, I am embarrassed by an action of my girlfriend against another member. I ask for the peace of Jesus to come into my heart and inspire me to get behind my depression and start living my life for him again.
