Trey, I am convinced that just so long as you don't involve anyone else, even in your thoughts, self-relief is fully acceptable to God while you wait for His miracle. I do believe in miracles, and in the power of God. But sometimes they take a very long time. Self-relief is a means of coping. I will doubtless be criticised for suggesting this, but for too long the church has been cruel to homosexuals. If they lived for a month with the problem, they too would realise the glib advice just does not work. It sounds oh so pious, but it doesn't. They don't realise it is very similar to commanding a crippled person to arise from their wheelchair in the name of Jesus. They wd love to, but they just can't. And until there is a miracle from God, they never will. They shd read Joni Erikson Tada. She finally accepted her wheelchair as from God. So shd we. Praying for you brother in full sympathy... |

| Father, help this guest to come back to you knowing that you are aware of all of his sins and if he asks forgiveness you will give it. Father show him that to overcome wrongful desires...they must be given up to you and your care...no matter what they are. Father, let this man find a place to worship that will support him walking in your ways. Let him turn away from these things that trouble him so. Living a celibate life while difficult will bring him peace. Let him come to you and ask that you help him to resist temptation. Your word tells us that if we resist the devil he will flee. I ask Father in your mercy that you help him resist. In Jesus name...Amen! |

I have been a backslid christian for several years now and had turned completely away from God. I know the word says he will bring you to your knees until all you have to so is cry out for him. I have been crying out. Satan has tempted me so badly I have done some things i am not proud of and are ashamed of. Just like if i post this would my sister read this and realize its me and tell our mom about it saying this is the true reason why he lost his job not what he told you happened. i had a great job for the last 3 years, satan tempted me with the homosexual life style and i began a relationship with another male employee on the cleaning crew it had been going on for 3 years and recently it came out about me and him doing inappropriate things one morning in the break room. I was confronted about it and i told them the truth. I am now struggling to find a job, no one is hiring right now and I need to go back to church, but I need to find one I feel welcomed at. My mom wants to go back to our old church but i don't feel right there because of the past. I wasn't a problem child i went for work skills i didn't have a job in high school i concentrated on my school work. I just need prayer that the Lord will bring me back to him because i know hes the ONLY ONE who can fix this situation but also the devil is in my ear twisting me up and making me want to continue down this path of destruction and i don't want to follow it no more!!!!!
