Hi everyone my name is Shawna and I am 25 years old. I am recovering from addiction and some legal issues, because of the addiction. I am pregnant and I am very depressed. In all actuality i shouldnt be depressed because I do feel very blessed in my life, but I know that depression can hit me anytime no matter what. I need prayer to lift up this depression. I am also very addicted to cigarettes and I know I shouldnt be smoking because I am pregnant. So please pray for me that I can overcome these things. i pray but I sometimes dont know what to say. Heavenly Father, we lift Shawna up before you. We ask You to take authority over her depression. We also ask you to help her to overcome her addiction to cigarettes. And Father, please guide Shawna as to whether or not she should conuslt her family doctor and as for a referral to a psychiatrist. I know, Father, that sometimes You use psychiatrists to help people who are in a state of depression, and sometimes you do not.

Finally, Father God, please help Shawna to understand that it is not a sin to feel depressed, and that when a person feels depressed it does not mean that he or she is ungrateful for your blessings!
