my son to have hope

My son is a very tall and handsome young man who is smart and witty and kind. About 18 months ago he fell in love and was going to marry a girl. The situation looked pretty good. One day she finally broke down and told him that she had been pretending all along and really did not love him. That she knew he was a good catch and hoping that she would fall in love along the way. He was shocked and devastated. A lot of his life goals and dreams were bound up in the plans they had made together. He had a hard time grieving and worked hard at moving on. Just as he was getting his well being back, he got entangled in a close friendship with a different girl on the rebound who turned out to be sort of angry and a frighteningly skilled manipulator - sort of a dangerous unsafe personality type. That was another emotionally costly side track. Anyways, he is in graduate school and is really needing to have a sense of direction restored to him. He is so diligent and does very well, but the lonely days return and he struggles with anger over the churning up of all of his dreams. I feel like his simple wonderful faith in the Lord has been brutally assaulted by a lot of disappointments and by the philosophical beliefs of the other college students. It is time for him to have a full restoration and return to the joy he once had. May the Lord restore all that was lost and open up a door for him to find happiness in his life. In Jesus Name.
