I need patience please pray
I am having difficulties with finding the patience that I need with my husband. He has been making comments about me to our children, and today while getting ready for my daughters graduation party My oldest son who is 22 got sassy, and sounded exactly like his dad. Help I need patience and prayer very much. I really do not like it when I am bad mouthed behind my back especially to our kids. It is a time of trial, and I am sure It will be okay if I can just hang on and keep my eyes on Jesus. Thanks for the prayers.

RE: I need patience please pray
My dear sister in Christ, trust in the Lord, for He knows just what to do. I can remember asking for "patience" from our Lord. I was give a reason to learn patience. I was given a husband that had been an alcoholic for 30 years. I was given a daughter that had ADHD. I was given a son that had a drug problem. I was given a mother that had a drug problem and had been in prison for murder.
Well, I just kept right on trusting God, even through my trial. It was through love and kindness that was bestowed upon me that allowed them to change. I just kept right on loving them and being as humble as "I" knew how to be. Yes, it got very hectic at times, but I just kept right on telling them of the goodness of Jesus. They continued to see me living what I preached.
Then, one by one, they all began to do a great deal of changing. My husband has been clean of alcohol for 8 years. My son is drug free, that I know of. My mother is drug free, and alcohol free, and out of prison. My daughter is 2 months shy of graduating college.
So, if we just keep showing the characteristics of Christ in "our" lives, we can be the examples that are needed for our loved ones to change.
Yes, it does take time, but that is what patience is all about. Be careful what you ask God for. He will surely deliver! The bible talks about the virtuous woman in Psalms 31:10-31.
Have you ever heard the say, "Patience is a virtue?"
Well, I have read Psalms 31 many times and the word patience was not there. But, I did read about having strength there.
So, I pray right now for God to give you the strength to endure all that comes your way. I pray that God will be a strong tower for you to lean on when times get tough.
I ask God to show you what to do with each situation that you face on a daily basis. I ask God to touch your husbands heart and soul with His love.
I pray that God will show him how blessed he is to have a woman that calls on the name of the Lord.
Father, touch this marriage. Move Father in this household by Your power. Bring peace to the heart, soul and mind of this dear soul. Allow her children to see how truly blessed they are. I ask this prayer in Jesus Holy name. Amen!
