Prayer needed - Caroltlc - 11-26-2007 06:43 AM My husband is mentally ill. We've only been married 1yr -I did not know of his illness. He is verbally abusive, witholds love & lies. He is very self-centered & critical. He told me today he wants me out - gone out of his life. He is also leading worship in our new church but the Pastor does not know of how he is. He threatened to leave the church if I try to counsel with our Pastor. He owes me money that I spent on his house from my inheritance and he won't give it back -so I can't leave. My heart is broken but I'm trusting God for His will to be done. RE: Prayer needed - jackie - 11-26-2007 10:36 PM Lord and FAther God in Jesus name I come to you that I can be cleansed of all unroghteousness that i can be acceptable in you sight O Father That I can praise You. Lord God men call it mental illness Lord God let it not be a reprobate heart. O God let this manifestation of evil in this mans soul be bought out into the light in the congregation fo ryou have commanded that a man shoul love his wife that his prayers are answered. Lord god you are He who wants us to worship you in spirirt and truth Lord God I ask that this hidden thing be made manifest that the husband can repent and resist these thoughts of the devil which attack this marriage as arrows by day and darts by night. Lord and Father God let this invasion by satan of this man soul be out in the open in fellow ship exposed that the pastor of the church see the need of this man to be delivered and councelled that he can stand and with stand. Lord and Father God i ask this for the testimony of this man and wife can with the blood of the lamb bring souls into the hope of salvation for your Glory in Jesus name amen. 1 Peter 4 (King James Version) 1 Peter 4 : 1Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 2That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. 3For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: 4Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: 5Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. 6For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. 7But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. 8And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 9Use hospitality one to another without grudging. 10As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 12Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 15But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. 16Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. RE: Prayer needed - greyler - 10-05-2012 04:09 PM Surrender all, pray and worship God daily. In His prescence is fullness and joy. Psalms 16:11 Give God all your time. He will give you peace when you get yourself in His prescence. Believe and do not doubt and do not be impatient. Don't concern yourself of what's around you or what others are doing. Spend your time praying where you will not be disturb. For God is Spirit, those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth, John 4:24. God's word is truth. Dig in the word of God, stand upon ALL His word. God's word is true despite all of our probems and circumstances. Stand upon the rock!!! Cast all your burdens upon the Lord. Humble yourself, that He may lift you up in due time. Let God accomplish your concerns in His timing and His planning. Patience is key here, do not lean on your own understanding, Proverbs 3:5-6. Quiet yourself and wait on Him. Believe that God is greater than anyone and anything. God's best is always greater than our best. He is greater than you and me. I see I posted here in 2007... I've hung in with my husband trying to be patient and I've clung to God... Things aren't much different with my husband & even this very day it was quite trying... I cried out to the Lord just minutes before your encouraging word arrived. God Bless you for hearing from God and obeying...
