| Pray for your brother, forgive him, and keep the faith that he may find the way if it is God's will. Live your life as an example and he may realize his unhappy anger flows from his own choices. |

If your brother sins against you 7 times 70, you must forgive him. the lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all come to everlasting life. you cannot fight against him for: "we do not wrestle with flesh and , but against pricipalities, powers and rulers in high places" we do not have authority over another's will, but, we do have authority over the spirits which rule them. remember, paul said christ is seated at the right hand of god far above all pricipalities, powers and rulers and we are seated "IN HIM", so that puts them under "our" feet as well. (ephesians 1 & 2) take your authority over the spirits which rule him, break their power in jesus' name, then, (and most importantly), thank god every day that it is done. Jesus said "if you can believe it to be so, then it shall be so" (para). speak to him with love, listen to what he is really hurting about, know that, by studying hinduism, he is seeking god. In acts, there was a statue to "the unknown god", the apostles let the people know who this unknown god was. there is hope for your brother, believe me. I used to be a worshipper, practitioner of craft and seeker of all types of spiritual wisdom. what i really was seeking was god, it was just that i had never seen god in the people around me and if god was in them, then i didn't want it. I, too, put my head in a bottle for years, but only because i had never heard the verse:"even if my mother and father forsake me, the lord shall take me up" but, like i said, he seeks god, just in the way that his heart needs him to be. I pray that the lord shall strengthen you in your inner person with all power and with all might that you may break through the chains in which has bound this child of abraham. I pray that the eyes of his understanding may be opened to the mercy and lovingkindness that can comes from the true living god jesus christ. I ask the lord in Jesus' name to send his angels to form a protective hedge around your brother and carry them in their hands lest he dash his foot against even just a stone. May your ears be open to the cry of his heart that you may discern his seeking. May your eyes be opened to god in his life already. I will keep your brother in constant prayer. for some reason, this touches me much, maybe its the same. I blamed god for my mother dying. but when i realized that, like jonah, i was really only running from god, because i knew he was calling. let me know how he does in the next couple of days. listen for the real pain in his heart |

Loving Father, please save Brett from Hinduism and excessive drinking. Help him to cope with the deaths of his friends by turning to you. Open his eyes to the wonderful resource he has in his Christian family and reconcile him to them. Give him peace in place of anger. In Jesus' name, amen. |

My brother Brett does not believe in God and is studying hinduism. He called me last night to attack my family and our love for Christ. I LOVE MY BROTHER! He is lost and I have been praying for him for years. He has been excessively drinking since 18 and he is now 39. His friends are dying and he is seeking answers with anger. He has never been married and has no children. His wounds are deep. Please help me cover my brother and pray him through. Thank you, Kimberly |
