I once had this habit (of speaking, without considering the feelings of others. ) the holy spirit would chastise me, I would ask for forgiveness and be ok for awhile. Then I would do it again. I knew it was not pleasing to God and like you I felt awful. I took words from the bible and wrote this prayer. I prayed it and God help me break the habit. This is the prayer. ..

Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle. Let my mouth be filled [with] thy praise [and with] thy honor all the day.
In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Jesus, sometimes I don't think before I speak and my words cut like a knife. I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, but I do. Please forgive me Jesus. I am very out spoken sometimes and I often say whats on my mind. Please God Humble me, make me aware of the things I am thinking before they come out of my mouth. Let me stay quiet and focus on you Lord. Make me understand that I cannot change everything, that I must give it all to you Lord. In Jesus name, Humble me Lord, Amen.
