I pray that the Lord will forgive me of all my sins, realize how earnestly and sincerely I want nothing more than to follow His plan for me and that He will remove all further obstacles in my way. Several months ago my girlfriend of a year and a half, and close friend for six months prior to that, broke up with me. During our relationship I was in a bad place in my life due to severe daily anxiety attacks, a constant rash over my face and legs and infidelity. Through turning to God I’ve had these demons cast out of my life and I thank Him dearly for that. Since our break up she still has not told me what compelled her to break us up or why she wanted to leave me. I tried maintaining a relationship with her through calls, e-mails and texts but in 6 months she’s responded with one phone call and one brief e-mail. Neither of these contacts were of any substance or of any length enough to resolve the painful questions I have inside.
By the time she broke up with me God finally saved me from the troubles in my life and for the first time in our relationship I was completely ready, willing and excited to be the best boyfriend I could be to her. At that point in time I came to feel strongly in my heart that she was truly “the one” for me and I was about to begin planning the first steps of approaching this idea with her. The day before our break up she told me that she was interested in developing her spirituality. This only confirmed my feelings for our relationship. Her family took her to church and Sunday school and even had her confirmed but never preached a deep rooted faith. Her decision to take the first steps out into faith on her own accord was wonderful news to me.
If it is in God’s will that we are not meant for each other than I ask God to please give me peace of mind to accept this, move on and appreciate the relationship for all the love we shared.
If my feelings are true though, and she and I are truly meant to be together, I pray that God will protect us both and bring us back together immediately. I pray that He rescues us from wandering lost and fights off all temptation and evil that may come in the way of our love.
I pray constantly throughout the day for God to reunite us and I don’t know how much longer I can take in this painful limbo waiting for either my heart to accept the fact that she’s gone or for our blessed reunion.
