Please pray for my husband, Lawrence. He used to be 'on fire' for God. God has used him mightily as a prophet. He was delivered from alcohol abuse many years ago, but has gone back to his drinking habit. It started with just a beer. I warned him but he assured me it wouldn't get out of hand. He's now hitting the hard stuff like whisky, vodka, brandy, etc. Also, even though he still witnesses to people, and still reads his Bible, when he becomes angry, he uses foul language. My marriage is in jeopardy or so the enemy would have me think. I know my God is able to mend it. He never apologises though he hurts people especially my children and I, very often. Please pray that God will intervene, deliver him from the drinking habit, convict him of his unchristianly behaviour and, well, just transform him totally. I long to have the old Lawrence back, the one Jesus saved. The man who now calls himself Lawrence, is an imposter. Please, please help me, I'm desperate for God to move on our behalf. Thank you all, my Christian brothers and sisters. God bless you all.
Hebrews 10: 26 > :26For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions; 33Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
34For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
35Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 36For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
37For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
38Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
39But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
1 Corinthians 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5: 16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these;
Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
Lord and Father God let this man understand that HIs whole salvation is being stolen from him by the devil in this delusion to drink. Father God let the preacher preach repentance unto salvation and No hope for the lost and those who will fully sin for they will not enter into the kingdom and Lord God risk Judgementand eternity in the Lake of fire> lord God let this be preached and spokenn of that this man repents and does not perish for your Glory in Jesus name amen.
Desiree,
You wouldn't believe the trouble I have had trying to reply to your prayer request. I have been able to respond and reply to all others, but when I tried to reply to yours the enemy tried to stop me by making my computer do weird things. I am persistent and the enemy has to back off. Stay encouraged as I my situation is very similar to yours. It is very painful to watch your love ones go down a path that you know is destructive. DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!. We have the victory in Jesus name. These attacks are just a work on the enemy to shut down and stop the the plan of God for our spouses lives. The enemy is defeated and he knows it. He just wants you to believe that it is over. The victory will be great otherwise the enemy wouldn't be attacking so hard. Remind the enemy that your spouse belongs to CHRIST JESUS and NOT the kingdom of darkness. OUR SPOUSES WILL STOP DRINKING. It is just a matter of time. Apply the blood of Christ Jesus over yourself, children, your home and your husband as your protection. Stay close to the Lord in prayer and pray for others on this site as God will do for you what you do for others. I pray alot for others even though I am going through my own personal battle. I find comfort that I am asking God to help others as I seek deliverance from my own problems. Remember the NAME OF JESUS is greater than any booze that our spouses drink and Jesus died to set the captives free. :amen: Also go to
http://www.cprmarriageministry.org as they have some great scriptural prayers for deliverance, marriage restoration, filling of the Holy Spirit and confessions that you can declare over yourself and your spouse. It has helped me alot. I will continue praying for you. God Bless you and keep you.
Your sister in Christ,
Joelle.
