adoring1 Wrote:All of this is TRUE...but it still relates to things of the Spirit...If I prayed to be a gorilla...and believed that I could be a gorilla and really wanted to be a gorilla, and knew in faith that God had the power to change me into one...I guarantee you that God would not turn me into a gorilla...because that is not in his will or he would have created me as one. All Scripture works together for good...no one or two or three can be taken alone. The faith scriptures cannot be taken without considering the wisdom scriptures...the wisdom scriptures cannot be taken without considering the sovereignty of God scriptures... And as we have discussed many times Mel...God will answer our prayers...but they still may not be exactly as we ask...Live long enough and you will see for yourself. Be blessed in the Lord.
In regards to 'praying to be a gorilla', God can STILL make you a gorilla... Your human body could die, your spirit can go to Heaven, and you can be reincarnated as a gorilla... You might except for God to turn you into a gorilla when you were asleep, or just immediately, but God can turn you into a gorilla just as I have said in the second sentence... you pretty much said what I was trying to explain. "God will answer our prayers...but they still may not be exactly as we ask..." It COULD be exactly as you ask... but then again you have to be SPECIFIC in your prayers too. God could grant it immediately if you were to say "God, let me live life as a gorilla instead of a human being. Please take my soul, give it unto Heaven, put my soul into the womb of a mother gorilla, and let me be born as a gorilla." Your soul won't be human anymore, but of that as a gorilla if you had believed and have been specific about it? Get the gist of it a bit?
You know how some Christians say that Jesus can be the dog in your house, the gardener who mows your lawn, the teacher in your classroom, the pastor in your church, etc. etc. etc...? I believe that. Why? Because Jesus can be anyone and anywhere when we least expect it. I've looked at this movie called "The Perfect Stranger". It is a Christian movie. Look at that movie and you'll see why I believe those figures of speech. If you don't think God can make you a gorilla because it is 'not in his will' for you to be one otherwise he would have created you to be one, it's still possible!!! If you read the article closely... I mean REALLY read it...
'It is the Prayer of Faith that enables us to
change unfavorable circumstances & situations: [Mk 11:23-24]'
What did that mean...? It means whether it makes sense to you or not, God will still do whatever you ask for. Like I said, God can take spirit to Heaven, and you can be reincarnated as a gorilla... God can do ANYTHING that seems impossible to MAN (or WOMAN). If you don't think God will do that, then why pray for it or ask for it in the first place? Because 'it wasn't in His will???' Don't you get it... God's will for us is in HIS WORD, THE BIBLE ITSELF. God can make you a gorilla in a way you would not expect it even if you did believe it! But what made God NOT do it... because you gave up, thinking 'oh it's not in His will to make me into a gorilla because had He did, I would been born one.' That is when God WILL say 'Then I'm not going to do so...' And again with the 'NOT IN HIS WILL' thing... The reason why Jesus said "if it be thy will" -or- as some translations say: "if it is possible" because he is preparing himself for what is ahead for him to HAVE THAT BLESSING. TO CONSECRATE means to 'To dedicate solemnly to a service or goal'. TO DEDICATE. And here's the other thing about this: right in that article, it says when you say that 'If it be thy will' which is NOT a prayer of faith, but of 'consecration or service', "and basically the individual is praying to FIND OUT what God's will is before they proceed - therefore
doubt or
uncertainty might very well exist in a prayer of 'Consecration or Service'." Meaning what? You could be doubting of your prayer will ever come because YOU CONTINUE TO TRY TO FIND OUT WHAT IS IN HIS WILL FOR YOU WHEN IT IS ALREADY THERE. Also it says "When Jesus prayed the Words "if it be thy will" -or- as some translations say: "if it is possible" - It is important for us to understand that Jesus was consecrating himself to the task ahead - and seeking guidance and strength in order to
proceed and
finish His task. Pay close attention to the fact that He was
NOT asking for something that had
already been granted or
assured to Him by God in His Word, or
declared to be His by right of the covenant." Meaning once you pray for it (and prayed for it CORRECTLY because there are different types of prayers that CANNOT be used together) IT HAS ALREADY BEEN GRANTED. The true answer lies in your faith and your faith alone.
For example, Jesus and the blind man. The blind man asked Jesus for his sight. Now there are MANY people that are living blind today... but do you know WHY this is to be...? Once he ask, did Jesus say 'I'll see if it is in My Father's Will for you to see again'? NO. Did Jesus say 'No, because my Father told me that you are to be blind for the rest of your days?' NO. What did HE SAY??? 'Your FAITH hath healed you!' He did NOT SAY that it was the WILL of God for Jesus to heal him, HE WAS TO BE HEALED ONCE HE ASKED AND BELIEVED. One more thing that the article says:
"Many Christians have also come to the
wrong conclusion that whatever they asked for must
not be God's
will for them - yet no one can explain
Biblically (NOTE... THIS WAS NEVER EXPLAINED BIBLICALLY! Therefore, does it make sense whether to even ask that anymore???) why this is so - though
many people are willing to offer any number of explanations that are NOT scriptural - in other words,
their explanation does not line up with what God said about the subject in His Word. "
AGAIN... that explanation and way of thinking of that 'oh it's not in God's Will... It's not His Will to do that'... DOES NOT LINE UP WHAT GOD HAS SAID IN HIS WORD! "Unless one is trying to pray a curse down on someone or something equally foolish - believing that your prayer went unanswered because "it must not have been God's will" is not only
unscriptural (meaning there IS NO SCRIPTURE IN THE OLD OR NEW TESTAMENT THAT SAYS ABOUT THINGS THAT YOU PRAY FOR THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE IN GOD'S WILL OR THE LIKE), but it is a
faith-destroying doctrine of demons designed to keep the children of God from obtaining those things which are rightfully theirs through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ!"
Even though there are CONDITIONS that must be met to receive it... and these conditions are in the Bible, explained so clearly... For example: "delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart". Promise: He will give you the desires of your heart. Condition: delight yourself in the Lord. It's that simple.
And for knowing God's WORD vs. God's WILL... The answer is in front of your nose:
"Having made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself" [Eph:1:9]
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him.... But God has revealed them to us by his Spirit .... Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; so that we can know the things that are freely given to us by God. [1Cor 2:9-14]
And, since we know that Jesus is the WORD OF GOD [John 1:1, 14] - then the 'truth' being referred to in John 16:13 is (you guessed it) - the Word of God! Once we realize that the Word of God -IS- the will of God for us - then we will no longer have any doubt or uncertainty as to what exactly the will of God is for us. It was already revealed in the Bible!
I'm not trying to argue or start a fight... but that article, if you have really read it clearly with understanding, not mere discernment... The answers are right there... That can have you be granted everything you have asked God to do for you... with 100% in results, shall you want results. And if you are thinking 'Well your prayer may not be lined up with God's word', again it GOES BACK to the God's Word vs. God's Will. It's a, well I hate saying useless in a time like this, but it is a USELESS CYCLE when the answer is already there. And no, I really do not have to 'live long enough' to know 'see for myself'... If you are saying that as far as my age is concern, to me a 12-year-old who is right with God can even believe in this. Young or old, wise or unwise, if it is in His word, then it is true. Again if my 'young experiences or age' is of concern, then that is thinking incorrectly... Age is nothing when it comes to God's word being interpreted and believed in some way. You cannot be correct or incorrect because it is because of how YOU believe and YOUR faith in concern... never of age or experience or how longed you or I have lived. It's almost discriminating in a way that just because I am young, that doesn't mean I don't have the knowledge or experience or wisdom that an older woman can have. And I can go on about how older people (like my mother and father) says to young people (like me) 'I wish I knew what you know. If I knew and learned the stuff that we have now that we didn't have back then... etc etc" The young can teach the old. I even receive praises of being an inspiration or encouragement to other people and they are indeed older than I am. So again, AGE is not a concern here. I can go on, but I digress. And it doesn't just relate to things of the spirit... No... It relates to HOW TO GET YOUR PRAYERS ANSWERED/THE ANSWER YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE WITH RESULTS. The reason why God doesn't answer every prayer? IT'S HOW WE PRAY FOR IT AND HOW WE APPLY IT. That is another reason why God says NO. It's not because of God and "His Will", it's because of US. How WE pray and HOW LONG we believe it.
I just hope you at least see what I'm trying to say here. If you still do not believe that what I have said isn't the truth, then that's okay. Agree to disagree... God Bless.
